Re: [scots-l] Re: Amazing Grace
With all the discussion that's centered around this Song/tune Amazing Grace ( and intriguing depth thereof ) I was just wondering if anyone know's how well the words work with the theme music of Gilligans Island. This was brought to my attention several years ago and stuck with me. That tune is evidently legendary in the US (like the theme from The Archers is in the UK) but most people outside the US (me included) don't know it. Any chance of an ABC? This kind of tune-swapping would not be news to anyone familiar with hymns - that's what the metre code in hymnbooks is for. === http://www.purr.demon.co.uk/jack/ === Posted to Scots-L - The Traditional Scottish Music Culture List - To subscribe/unsubscribe, point your browser to: http://www.tullochgorm.com/lists.html
