Re: [sdre-l]: question........

2001-03-20 Thread Hwangman1

I think he meant that both bands are a 3 piece in the studio. The foo's use
chris shifflet on tour for guitar, and sdre added an extra guy to play
keyboard/guitar/backup vocals, but they still only use 3 for making albums
(at least so far). So the connection's still there...

Re: [sdre-l]: question........

2001-03-20 Thread Matt Findon

all i can say to this is that i admire nate as a bass player for his sunny
day work, and definitely not for his foo fighters work. it's too bad he
can't have the songwriting outlet he had with sunny day. i'd love to be
able to hear more of *his* music. he has created some of the best basslines
i've heard in diary and lp2.

1999-07-12 Thread Mikie Lewinski

first off, id like to set the record straight. what is all this talk about
sunny day not using their own equiptment? everything they used was theirs.
i swear it. jeremy and dan have three guitars each, and dan and jeremy were
both using the exact same stuff, amps and all, that they used when i saw
them in feb. the only stuff that was probably not authentic sdre, was the
d-tuned bass and maybe the bass amp, that joe used. i saw the
telecaster-type bass that joe used for pre-sdre-breakup songs being used by
a previous band, i think it was apples in stereo. and i remember joe using a
vitage amp setup in pomona about six months ago...but he could have gotten a
new setup..
so to set the rec straight, they used their own stuff. thats it...
