Re: CS>I vote for email list

2014-02-21 Thread sol

Mike,
That is a big relief! I very much prefer email list format. I do
belong to a few forums, but I really do not like the forum format. It
seems so much more cumbersome to me, and slow, and I think I miss out on
a lot of information due to not seeing all posts on many topics in one
place, if that makes any sense. Makes it much more convenient and faster
to "dip my toe in" to subject lines I would have thought held no
interest for me. I even personally prefer an email list to the facebook
forums as well.

No, Debbie, I just stuck my toe in the water to see what people's
thinking is on the utility of the list, other resources, and group
format. No immediate changes being planned, just me wondering.

Be well!

...no reason both can't be accomplished to good end.

Single discussion topics can be "flushed" out to a forum for a more

Re: CS>List action

2014-02-21 Thread Victor Cozzetto
I don't participate much, but I feel the email groups are necessary to
protect people from prosecution, trolling, etc. A sad statement to be sure.
I also appreciate having various email groups available as a source of
reference, education, testimony, and moral support.

I feel fully self sufficient (and practically immortal ;-) with the
knowledge and tools provided to me by the Beck Protocol and the Weston
Price foundation (helps me keep a grasp on proper nutrition). But
influencing family and friends is a far greater challenge than maintaining
my own health. As they say, you can lead a horse to water but you can't
make it drink. Any resource such as this email group is helpful in
promoting the 'truth' about our health and healthcare.

As for my experiences, I am currently having great success in treating
cavities, diabetes, cancer, gulf war syndrome, and other undiagnosed
ailments in various family members. A time of unusual crises - and
healing in my family. I actually have 6 silverpuppy machines distributed
among my family. And yet others still choose chemo :-(

I could post more specific details of my experiences if someone was
interested.

Well, we do have members from the southern hemisphere, so for some of us
it's high summer! <<--waves from atop a 4 foot pile of snow.

I am curious, though, if those of you who are regulars here have sorted
out your health issues enough that there's not much for you to say, or
if you've found other venues for support? Where?

I remember seeing a link here and visiting briefly a forum on CS topics
that looked like it was doing reasonably well. Anybody have that link
handy so I can visit it again?

Another aspect of this: Is there anybody here whose internet connection
is still so slow or expensive that they wouldn't be able to handle
visiting a forum, rather than receiving e-mails?

Be well,

Mike D.

Hi Mike!

Other venues of support -- I am a member of the magnetic therapy group, use
magnets myself, and find that they help me a great deal.

I find that most email groups have become very slow.  I don't know if it's the
weather (too cold, too hot, too something) -- or if these internet groups are
slowly being replaced by Facebook and Twitter.  My own equine CS group is
practically defunct.  All of the horse lists that I'm on are quiet.  I would
expect lists to be slow in the summer when people spend more time out of doors,
rather than in the winter when they're cooped up in the house.

I would have no problem handling a forum, rather than email.

Tips to keep private email addresses out of the hands of spammers:
1. Avoid giving your or anyone else's email address to any web site.
2. Instead of forwarding email, cut and paste the text.
3. For group emails, use the "bcc:" (Blind Carbon Copy) field instead of "to:".
(Put your own address or a fake address in the "to:" field).
4. Want to do more? Attach this text as a custom signature to the bottom of all
your outgoing email.
