Well thanks for clearing that up for all of us. Now the dilemna seems to be
people on this list are saying that putting it in glass will make it plate out
and discolour the glass etc. Why is this? I made the cs in a jar and it did
that before it was even done.

Hi Harold,

Very interesting post!

I bought a top brand plastic container that has a spigot. It had an
absolutely horrible smell when first opening the cap but it disappeared
when using it to make colloidal silver. I wonder if it could possibly
be a bacteria at work and the silver stops it?

With this in mind, would anyone know where to buy a gallon glass
container with a spigot?

Thank you,

Jean

older, begin to femininize [due to increased Estrogen over
testosterone],and subsequently are open to gallstone problems. As this
was happening to me,I am now getting rid of all plastic food
containers and going to either glass,Pyrex or stainless steel. All
Aluminum and Teflon non-stick pans are out too.I store my CS in 1

It's actually better to store CS in soda pop bottles
(or that type of plasic). If CS is stored in glass,
the silver tends to adhere to the glass sides,
detracting from the silver in the liquid.

CSCS storage?

2003-11-18 Thread Matthew McCann PE
Hi, Marshall.

Thank you for clarifying the
meaning of flowers in
context of materia medica.
Maybe you could help me
out on another question.
I am interested in collecting
allusions to silver as a
health-enhancing substance
in antiquity.
The Greek physician
Hippocrates notes it in
treatment of ulcers (above.)
The Roman naturalist Pliny
the Elder recorded that the
slag of silver used as an
ingredient in medical plaster
causes wounds to close.
The Greek historian Herodotus records
that the Persian king Cyrus the
Great boiled drinking water and
stored it in silver vessels.

I vaguely recall reading that
Aristotle taught his student
Alexander to store his
drinking water overnight in
a helmet made of iron but
lined with silver. I can't locate
the reference, though.

Do you know of any classical
reference to silver in the context
of Aristotle and Alexander the
Great?

Thanks for your help!

It depends on how you market it and what claims you make.
I see no real problem with labeling it Colloidal/ionic silver water Contents: pure Silver, pure water.
No claims at all, no directions of use, no suggestions FOR use.
Legality would be the same as tossing a bullion coin in a bottle of distilled water.
What's THAT for? Well, it makes a cool rattling sound when you shake it. You can put out small fires with it?
It's to be used for whatever you want to use it for.
You could even say it has no officially known or FDA Approved use.
You could include a toxicity statement quoting EPA figures for safe levels of silver in drinking water.
[Warning..do not drink..if that's what you intend to do.. more than x gallons a day? Water can be toxic in large doses]

Flowers means a very fine powder, such as four is. When mixed with
water it will produce a large particle suspension, so it would be
effectively a very poor quality CS, that would settle out pretty
 quickly.

Can't you get in trouble for selling the home made CS???
I thought someone told me that once.
So, I've just always given it away..
Maybe ask for donation, or could we charge for the bottle but not the cs???

Hi Marshalee,

In reality you can make, take sell CS IF you label it Mineral Supplement
and make NO claims as to what it's good for. Tell them to try it and report
their results to you as to what, if any improvement they observed.
FDA cannot tough you under this modus operandi. Make sure the required info
is on the label.

Best regards,

CSCS storage ?

2003-11-14 Thread ESL555
Does it matter if cs is stored in plastic containers ? One cs website says
cs must be stored in glass because plastic cannot preserve the cs in liquid
suspension for any length of time. The cs I make with my silver puppy seems
stable and clear. If I decide to sell the cs should I put an expiration date on
it
? Any other things I should know if I want to sell cs ?
Thanks

Re: CSCS storage ?

2003-11-14 Thread Delmont Neroni
Steve:

I know most of the people on this list store cs in plastic (coke bottles and
such), but I store mine in glass only, because of the following quote from
Natural Immunogenics:

Plastic containers contaminate colloidal silver due to the reaction of silver
with plastic. Glass ensures the formulation maintains its quality.

Now maybe they mean only low grade plastic containers, but my attitude is, why
take a chance. Natural Immunogenics has far more expertise than I do on this
subject, and I would not argue with them. They also sell their cs (Sovereign
Silver) in brown bottles and package these in cardboard, so they do everything
they can to enhance shelf life. Consequently, I also store my cs out of the
light.

Perhaps not necessary, but it really is no trouble to take these precautions.

No. it doesn`t. I keep mine in a hard plastic water bottle, and it works fine.
Why sell it? Give the information away and you`ll feel much better...

Remember what Richard Harris said.

nothing unless it's free cash.

Re: CSCS storage ?

2003-11-14 Thread Robert Berger
Hi Steve,

First let's correct what you have been told. Most of you silver solution
is composed of silver ions (Ag+) and they are dissolved just like sugar
is dissolved and it will not come out of solution. If there are
particles they will in time fall out of suspension.
The rate at which they fall out is determined by the size. The large one
first and then the smaller ones.

I have CS stored in 2 liter cola bottles sitting in a southern exposure
window. I have left some out doors over winter where it freezes and
thaws several times and there is no change.

The is too much bull about CS by those whose have never taken the time
to run the experiments.

Nalgene's fine. But the HDPE and PETE (plastic types 2 and 1,
respectively) are both good for CS storage. I prefer PETE (it's a
harder plastic you'll find in soda bottles, Hawaiian Punch, etc.) 1
gallon milk jugs are usually not good, because they're designed to
disintegrate after a while.
