Oh wow, I'd never thought of taking chlorophyll for that!  I'll have to try 
that, especially for the cats.  (How my cat can drink DMSO/cs straight I'll 
never know!).  Thanks for the suggestion!

Jess, I wonder if taking some chlorophyll along with or right after the
DMSO would eliminate some of the bad odor it causes? I believe they
use it for people who have colostomy bags, to help with the odor
control. Chlorophyll is cheap and easily available, and tastes
okay, too.

Hi Deborah!

My hives are really really severe.  Face to bottom of the feet and the skin 
looks like it's bubbling.  This time around I put the dmso/distilled water as 
soon as they came up.  I stopped taking my steroids and had my DH douse me with 
it when I woke up in hives a few days later.  The relief was awesome and took 
only a minute or so per itch.  I've only used a small pour of dmso, but next 
time I'll be using 50/50 for external application.

The doctors and nurses, with the exception of the one I mentioned earlier, all 
knew what dmso was and why I took it.  I was impressed.  They only admonished 
me with the advice to watch what was on my skin because something bad could go 
in with the dmso.

If you have hives of an allergy type I can't stress enough how awesome dmso is. 
 If you have a kid with chicken pox, I can't stress enough how awesome cs/dmso 
is.  Our chicken pox issues were a walk in the park.  Next time, with my new 
knowledge, the hives will be more than manageable.

Just so I can be absolutely clear on what you did--you applied the  
DMSO/Water mixture externally?  Did you also take any internally?  And by  
your DH dousing you, what do you mean exactly--Doctor of Homeopathy, Dear  
Husband, Damned Hospital? (haha)


Also wondering if you have a plan to address the underlying cause of your  
hives.  I don't know what triggered the severe reaction I had so, in order  
to try and prevent others, I'm undertaking a cleansing program beginning  
with a parasite cleanse and continuing next week during the fall equinox  
time with a macrobiotic diet combined with some liver detox work.  Around  
the spring equinox I'll do another cleanse using more raw foods/juices.


This is the best approach I can come up with to try and strengthen my  
immune system's ability to handle whatever I encounter in the  
environment.  I'm just not willing to go through conventional allergy  
testing but did consult a good holistic practitioner who, through some  
muscle testing, suggested the parasite cleanse and also worked on an old  
problem with my neck via chiropractic adjustments.


But you bet I'd use DMSO in a heartbeat if beset with another violent  
histamine reaction.
