I don't know how many of you watch the news but
this morning our local channel 13 news gave a
warning out of Washington that there is a bad
virus the FBI has had contained but for some
reason the block will be lifted and if you haven't
checked to see if your computer is infected by
Monday you are going to have serious computer
problems. They gave the following web site and
I've copied it and the page that comes up when
you go to the site. Mine thankfully was green.
If it turns red there is a problem and there is
another web site at the bottom that you will have
to
go to that fixes the problem I think. I did not
see the program personally but my husband did and
wrote the site down for me.

To check for virus to go:

http://www.dns-ok.us/

DNS Changer Check-Up

   DNS Resolution = GREEN

Your computer appears to be looking up IP
addresses correctly!

Had your computer been infected with DNS
changer malware you would have seen a red
background. Please note, however, that if your ISP
is redirecting DNS traffic for its customers you
would have reached this site even though you are
infected. For additional information regarding the
DNS changer malware, please visit the FBI's
website at:

I hate to tell anyone this because it is usually disregarded but
"they" can gain access to anyones computer any time they wish and have
no doubt already done so.
They do not need to make up stories like this.
My husband used to work both for Apple and IBM when tehy were
settingup all the protocols on the initatial programs that everything
now piggy-backs on.
It looks like Swiss cheese in those back doors.
We have already been taken over, get over it.
We just have to learn how to effectively deal with them.

2012-07-07 Thread Jane MacRoss
I am just saying what is more trustworthy than a husband and wife team -
google? Other sites? Why "just because it is a husband and wife team" should it
not be reliable and trustworthy? - with things I know a little about, such as
alternative health options, it seems the site is not always reliable,
otherwise I usually assume their virus warning are accurate or appropriate -
but some other groups are saying this is another way to give the FBI access to
people's pc's and private details yet again.

I thought, a while ago, that the list had covered the inappropriateness of
political comment in a group that's supposed to feel safe for everyone seeking
to heal themselves. This just isn't done, and the people who do it, I consider
social 'viruses' to the peace and civility of the group. Why these
transgressions seem to happen only on this list, I don't know. Other health
lists seem to be able to govern themselves and respectfully restrain
themselves.
