Re: CS>Gas Prices

Smitty is only one mile further and yesterday the NJ gas was $3.39 and at
my closest station in NY it was $3.89. I get about 30 mpg and have a 14
gallon tank. That's a $7.00 per fill up difference. I'm living 8 miles from
NJ and PA here in NY. The closest grocery store is in NJ next door to the
gas stations. Where I'm at I would have to drive 16 miles to go to a NY
grocery store.

My husband was like your wife.

How much gas do you burn going to the cheaper area ?
My wife used to drive miles to save a nickel.

GAS WENT FROM $3.52 TO $4 IN LESS THAN 30 MINUTES TIME, THE MINUTE THE
ANNOUNCEMENT OF IKE'S IMPENDING ATTACK ON THE GULF COAST . the hurricane
came
and went, and not so much as even caused clouds or rain, here in southeast
Alabama ... yet the price of gas remains high. In an ""honest" economy, it
is called "price gouging", and supposedly is (or at one time, long ago) is
against the law. For that, we thank BP and Shell ...

Thank you Jorge Booo$h! May the bird of paradise shit in your ear too!

Could it be that in Ireland they use  Imperial Gallons, meaning
4.54609 litres as opposed to USA Gallons 3.7854 litres?
In Australia, the price of petrol for (in my neck of the woods) :
-  a USA gallon of unleaded petrol AU $5.22 = US$4.89
- Imperial gallon of unleaded petrol UA$6.27 = US$5.87
Prices vary daily and per region with as much as 10 cents per litre
cheaper in the bigger cities, and up to 20 cents per litre dearer in
further remote areas.

It looks like this price is for an Imperial gallon which is about 1.2
US gallons, so the price would be about $7.50 a US gallon.
