[Skim-app-users] Note Opacity, Applescript, Multiple Colours, Freehand Note Tool
Hello, I'm working with some scanned texts, and wish to highlight a phrase every now and then. The texts are not OCR-ed, so I can't use the highlight tool; instead, I use the freehand note tool, with 30% opacity. The trouble is, I need to use more than one colour - and repeatedly changing the note colour manually through the preferences note pane is too much of a hassle. I've found an applescript that tells skim to change to note colour to a specific colour - so that's a start. But I couldn't find a way for the script to change the opacity as well (a feature without which it would be useless for this purpose). Is it possible? Or, alternatively, is there a better solution? Many thanks, Janiv. -- BPM Camp - Free Virtual Workshop May 6th at 10am PDT/1PM EDT Develop your own process in accordance with the BPMN 2 standard Learn Process modeling best practices with Bonita BPM through live exercises http://www.bonitasoft.com/be-part-of-it/events/bpm-camp-virtual- event?utm_ source=Sourceforge_BPM_Camp_5_6_15utm_medium=emailutm_campaign=VA_SF___ Skim-app-users mailing list Skim-app-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/skim-app-users

Many thanks, Janiv. Opacity, or more precisely the alpha component, is supported in Skim's AppleScript support, as a fourth component of the color. [Skim-app-users] Feature Request: Notes Pane Note Tool Coloring
Dear List Members, I use Skim for editing LaTeX files. My edits are in red until carried out, upon which the color is changed to green. It would be convenient for me if the Note Tool column (between the Note and Page columns) of the Notes Pane took the color of the annotation in the PDF Display Window, as then I could see at a glance all executed and unexecuted edits. I am not sure if understand the question correctly, but you can add a color column by right-clicking on the headings of the note pane columns and checking color.
