https://github.com/slackalaxy/misc/tree/master/preliminary/microsoft-fonts-win11

Would SBo accept scripts that do that?

We already have the webcore fonts, however these provide the latest
versions of Ariel, Calibri, etc, while the MS office ones make the
collection really complete. I was happily using the webcore fonts
until I needed to submit a paper, whose template required Palatino
Linotype and struggled with formatting in the very last minute...

for the record, I also have a SlackBuild that does this for MathType fonts:

Gods, no. We'd have had even more confusion. Just because it was done
doesn't make it a good idea to keep doing...

I think having 2 builds with names that only differ in capitalization
is a horrible idea. I'd even say it'd be a good idea to rename
LibreOffice to libreoffice-bin and Blender to blender-bin.

It was a joke.

However the change would be:
    libreoffice -> libreoffice-bin and LibreOffice -> libreoffice
    blender -> blender-bin and Blender -> blender

since the currently capitalized versions build from source and
uncapitalized versions repackage binaries.

I for one, I think all binary packages should be renamed with *-bin

It gives the most important information that the slackbuild is not a
compiled version, directly in the name

I made a few changes, and ended up including the official patches from

Thank you marav for the heads up.

About libfprintd, I can adopt it if needed. I don't see any critical
bugfix in the new version, just a few more supported device.
Marav included in his build a patch to enable automatic generation of
udev rules to properly support power handling on suspend.
Unfortunately that patch looks hackish as hell, the "needs a
HACK_GEN_RULES env variable set" kind of hackish, so I'm not sure if
it fits.

I'll try to investigate other possible solutions.

Following your advices
I rebuilt libfprint with an untouched SBo version and fprint (with my
modifications)

So, it just needs the fprintd patches, libfprint can stay as is

All works fine (login, lock screen, and after suspend/resume) so far so
good

Just submitted a "-2" slackbuild for fprintd 1.94.2
To be honest I was hoping for a new official release from upstream, but
a year has passed and there's no sign of it coming in a timely manner.
I made a few changes, and ended up including the official patches from
upstream's master instead of gentoo's ones.

Thank you marav for the heads up.

About libfprintd, I can adopt it if needed. I don't see any critical
bugfix in the new version, just a few more supported device.
Marav included in his build a patch to enable automatic generation of
udev rules to properly support power handling on suspend.
Unfortunately that patch looks hackish as hell, the "needs a
HACK_GEN_RULES env variable set" kind of hackish, so I'm not sure if it
fits.

I'll try to investigate other possible solutions.

Hi all

It's a recurring problem. I had suggest a way to have all lua
installed
side-by-side before the 15.0 rise IIRC. It was involving some
changes to
the original lua pkg.

Could it be something to be rework on ? (was not a wish on the
list at
the time)

You should look on how Corrado builds lua, lua51 etc
He adds this line, foro lua53 for example:

# Fix lua 5.3
sed -r -e "/^LUA_(SO|A|T)=/ s/lua/lua$MAINVERSION/" -e "/^LUAC_T=/
s/luac/luac$MAINVERSION/" -i src/Makefile

I have:

# ls -lhC1 /var/lib/pkgtools/packages/ | grep lua
lua51-5.1.5-x86_64-7cf
lua53-5.3.6-x86_64-1cf
lua54-5.4.4-x86_64-1_tdm

And conly builds fine:

usr/share/vim/vimfiles/ftdetect/conkyrc.vim
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/
usr/share/vim/vimfiles/syntax/conkyrc.vim

Slackware package /tmp/conky-1.18.1-x86_64-1_SBo.tgz created.

That's strange, it had been tested and not only by me.
I've reconstructed my build environment from scratch, and built graphviz.

It worked perfectly fine.

Could you tell me more about your setup, and the error itself ?
Are the requirements up-to-date ?

It works for me, built using the existing haruna.SlackBuild with
VERSION=0.10.0 in the environment. I did this on a 64-bit Slackware
15.0 box with tons of SBo packages installed... and on 32-bit

dependencies.

I even tried naming a file the same as yours, in case the problem was
caused by having a unicode character é in the path, but no problem.

Hello All,

Actually not true. libslirp is NOT a compile dependency, but optional
for user mode networking. Qemu compiles just fine without it.

   From Qemu ChangeLog/7.2

The "slirp" submodule / code (which is the code behind "-netdev user" /
"-nic user") has been removed from the QEMU source tree, so you now need
to install your distributions libslirp development package before
compiling QEMU to get the user-mode networking feature included again.

Since Slackware does not have a "distribution package" (SBo provides
this functionality), libslirp is technically OPTIONAL.

I should have been a bit more clear in the README and forgot to add the
--enable-slirp option as a switch.

https://git.slackbuilds.org/slackbuilds/commit/?h=user/dslackw/updates=c9b17d28cabe5fb77d3a97c145674a263b72b9c2

It seems that Dimitris is working hard on sbo-create.
He will probably submit it soon

Thx Willy,

All is working fine now (at least here)

Tested with : slpkg
Pkg: SQLAlchemy

Cheers

Using slpkg, I still am not able to update SlackBuilds (for example,
nodejs).
You and Dave fixed SQLAlchemy; however, every other package (for the
previous week) still doesn't update.

ok, i have found the issue
i forgot to create a tag for last public update and that messed up the
tarball/sigs creation and also the database update part

i have fixed the issue just now, please let us know if it's working
i checked with sbopkg and it's working fine on google-earth and i
assume it should be working on all scripts that were updated in the
last public update.

I confirm that is not working as expected

The tar.gz is still in version 7.3.4 and the update mention 7.3.6

We (me and bedlam) have fixed this on the database and we
recreated the
tarball and updated the signature to reflect the latest version in
our
repository. I don't know how it ended using the old version as the
steps
were done sequentially, but it was a good catch.

Thanks for spotting that and reporting it back to us.

please confirm that it's working now?

Not really

My first intention in the debugging process was to give as much
information as possible.

Sometimes it's useless, but sometimes it helps.

I just noticed a difference between what we have on the page and what we
have on git.

And the fact that slpkg seems to be confused for some reason.

And you're right, the whole slackbuild is fine, because it doesn't care
which version is already installed and it only cares about the version
in the .SlackBuilds and the .tar.gz.

Le 17/12/2022 à 12:33, Konrad J Hambrick a écrit :

I am curious ... are you saying that the tools you mentioned care
about the content of the Pages at SlackBuild.org ?

The SQLAlchemy.info and SQLAlchemy.SlackBuild files are consistent (
Version 1.4.45 ) and DOWNLOAD and MD5SUM are correct in SQLAlchemy.info

The latest version downloaded and tested and built and installed fine
here.

Thanks.

Re: [Slackbuilds-users] Updates - 20221217.1

2022-12-17 Thread marav

I'm a little confused

On SBo, we have:

   15.0 > Development
    > SQLAlchemy
   (1.4.44)

But in the .SlackBuilds :

VERSION=${VERSION:-1.4.45}

What happened ?

So, when I slpkg upgrade:

SQLAlchemy-1.4.45.tar.gz
100%[>]   8.14M  25.9MB/s    in 0.3s 2022-12-17 11:28:16 (25.9 MB/s) - ‘/tmp/slpkg/build/SQLAlchemy/SQLAlchemy-1.4.45.tar.gz’ saved [8535958/8535958] tar: /tmp/slpkg/build/SQLAlchemy/SQLAlchemy-1.4.44.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory And it seems to be the same for almost all the package in the last commit

Several of my SBo's that REQUIRE HDF5 fail to run this morning.

I believe it's because HDF5 Version 1.12.2 introduced
incompatible API Changes compared to the previous version HDF5 1.10.6

See this link( HDF5 Version 1.12.2 API Compatibility Macros ):

Migrating from HDF5 1.10 to HDF5 1.12

<https://portal.hdfgroup.org/display/HDF5/Migrating+from+HDF5+1.10+to+HDF5+1.12>

One Program is gdal which lists hdf5 as an optional REQUIRE.

I found an optional 'compatibility' configure option here:

https://portal.hdfgroup.org/display/HDF5/API+Compatibility+Macros
<https://portal.hdfgroup.org/display/HDF5/API+Compatibility+Macros>

So I added:

--with-default-api-version=v110

And I rebuilt HDF5.

I tried rebuilding gdal ( where hdf5 is an optional REQUIRE ) and
it failed to compile.

I reverted to hdf5 version 1.10.6 and everything works as expected.

I am not sure how to proceed because ultimately, proper fixes for
all these SBo Packages will require upstream fixes for the new
HDF5 API:

# hoorex -m hdf5
hdf5 h5utils matio FreeFem openimageio med mpb gmsh netcdf GMT
ITK OTB meep cdo ncview nco paraview Blender grace

Greetings to all members,

I would like to ask for your support.
I'm giving a job interview (Python Developer) and my Gitlab
repository, will play an important role, so whoever wants to add an
asterisk in my Projects and especially in slpkg, colored, sun,
dropbox-filemanager, sbo-templates etc., I would appreciate it a lot!

Thank you very much,
Dimitris

Re: [Slackbuilds-users] doinst.sh question

Hello All,

I noticed a problem with doinst.sh files of my package (namely
lingweather). I checked the file it is generated fine and will create
the needed soft links however sometimes it won't create all the links.
I noticed when evolution-data-server didnt link to the libgweather
inside a test system (Thanks to Dave Woodfall for catching it).

I am not sure what I really do wrong. I am attaching two doinst.sh
files: doinst.sh for the one included with the buildscript and
doinst.sh.package for the generated one. I don't see any errors while
installing the package on my machine. My test system gave the below
error doing installation:

Executing install script for libgweather-40.0-x86_64-1_SBo.tgz.
/bin/bash: line 11: syntax error: unexpected end of file

Regards,
Ozan

[Slackbuilds-users] Submissions: wireplumber

2022-04-03 Thread marav

Hi,

I can't  re-upload my SB for wireplumber, it says : "File exists; a
submission by the name 'wireplumber' is already pending approval."

And when I try to remove it: "The file wireplumber.tar.gz does not exist
in pending"

Can you at this ?
