AW: [smartos-discuss] OpenSuSE / SuSE SLE LX-Brand Zone for SmartOS

2017-09-06 Thread Daniel Plominski
Thanks Jerry,

I'm just letting an image build with commit:
https://github.com/joyent/illumos-joyent/commit/7e83ccc

If systemd runs in different versions, I continue to build:
https://github.com/ass-a2s/suse-lx-brand-image-builder

based on:
https://github.com/ass-a2s/opensuse-lx-zone

but with more adaptions derived from the lxc template (for network support and
so on)

Mit freundlichen Grüßen

To provide an update, I have tracked down the lx bug and prototyped a fix.
Systemd no longer is aborting itself. I'll finish up the fix and get it
integrated.

Re: [smartos-discuss] OpenSuSE / SuSE SLE LX-Brand Zone for SmartOS

2017-08-30 Thread Jerry Jelinek
Daniel,

I just finished getting setup here and I reproduced the problem. I filed
OS-6320 for this issue.

The problem is that systemd is aborting itself on an internal assert. It
appears to hit this because it closes the same file descriptor twice in a
row and then hits the assert when the second close returns an error. Here
is the portion of the trace I gathered right before systemd core dumps.

systemd 105280 1 <- close(4)=0
systemd 105280 1 <- close(4)=-9
systemd 105280 1 <- writev(3 2)=106 (Assertion 'close_nointr(fd) != -EBADF'
failed at src/basic/fd-util.c:67, function safe_close(). Aborting.)
systemd 105280 1 <- rt_sigprocmask=0
systemd 105280 1 send signal: 6 to: systemd pid 105280, tid 1

I need to do a little more work to investigate this. The file descriptor
being closed is from a socket and it is possible something else is going
wrong earlier, since I see a bind on that socket failed.

Thanks for letting us know about this issue,
Jerry
