RE: [RCSE] I took a quarter off Dave Hauch tonite...You?
I personally didn't get to fly today. I did fondle some of my gliders though. I moved them from one storage area to another. It was loads of fun. Anybody needing a picture or two, email me privately I'll send lots of them. Cliff Lindgren PS I'm here you're not, just thought everyone would want to know. _ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, July 16, 2008 8:34 PM To: Soaring@airage.com Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [RCSE] I took a quarter off Dave Hauch tonite...You? Hi guys! Dave invited me over to his magnificent flying site today to do some soaring. The conditions started out kind of hot but a light breeze kicked in and things got really comfortable. Dave and I put up about a dozen flights each, shooting for 10min flights and of course with a landing tape too ...which led to a landing for quarters challenge! I should have known better, because Dave is an excellent stick and practices a lot too. He hit 95+ landings most of the evening! I managed one perfect 100 dead on the second to finish off a 10min flightno skeg even! I was flying the Sharon, and he was flying the Shadow...I have to tell you I was very much impressed with how the Shadow launched! Dave has an auto-launcher, with is a bit spooky to use at first but you quickly realize that it doesn't make a mistake and the model is really moving from the moment the mechanism decided to let the winch line take possession of the model. I got a chance to peek at his inner sanctum (shop where he builds all your guys sailplanes). ...super tidy, I guess that's why his builds are so perfect! A fun day had by all. Thanks Dave! [RCSE] American support/F3J trip to Turkey
American support I as well as the USA team have been overwhelmed with all your support. Both you guys that invested in the team wares as well as the manufactures who donated soaring goods to the raffle. Some interesting first time team reflections as I awaited my name to be called to fly. I was never nervous at all... The years and years of practice prepared me for what I needed to do. But as my name was called to fly, a certain feeling of pride came over me that I never felt before I knew that I wasnt flying my flights just for me and the USA team of seniors, but I was flying for you guys too The good old U.S. of A. That feeling was a bit intense! I truly just tried to do my best and not do anything stupid! Thanks again for supporting the TEAM,, Richard Burnoski

And we're all proud of you , and the rest of the USA Team, for representing US (that would be us and the US). Well done by all, it can't be easy competing at that level. -Sheldon- 2008 Soaring Nationals Head Turnaround Troll (Titular) And Matrix Magician From: Richard Burnoski [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, July 17, 2008 5:22 PM To: 'RCSE' Cc: Richard Burnoski Subject: [RCSE] American support/F3J trip to Turkey American support _ I as well as the USA team have been overwhelmed with all your support.
