Thanks to all of the response about FS1 requirements for a laptop application. and thanks to John Diniz for the tech support from Horizon. I have identified a laptop package that will run FS1 as it was designed to run. Regards to all of you that helped. When looking at minimum requirements it can be wise to consider the overall speed of each core as the max CPU speed you may utilize. In general games are notoriously bad at utilizing second + cores. Geek speak aside, unless someone from FS1 tells you that the program will use a second core/CPU then assume it wont and meet the requirements by making sure that any dual core+ is at the required speeds. After that make sure that your new system has an NVidia video chipset in it. Not sure if the Nvidia 8800 comes in a laptop but I would go for that if I could. MHz for MHz, even not looking at the other CPU available, a Core Duo 2 is a lot faster than a stock P4. I'm guessing that your laptop would be fine. But to be sure, contact their technical support ... With the possible purchase of a laptop looming in the future I am trying to make sure that I get the right stuff.
