Nice! What's the apps used before and after 1:55? Did you use the 3d scene of the other company to blend the 2 shots? NGSkin is pretty much mandatory, again, if you haven't rolled your own stuff before because at this point it caught up to a lot of the historical deficiencies in Maya. I know a lot of people who love it, but most of them are pretty die-hard Maya fans, personally I still find it clunky as all hell and it requires considerable practice, but it's still miles better than anything OOTB. Brave Rabbit also has some useful starter stuff: http://www.braverabbit.de/playground/?p=915 He has a skinCluster transfer based on IDs in there, it works alright. Haven't looked at Chad's in a long while, does he still support it? The API class is very good and there's also one on writing a 'Production Ready Skin Weight Exporter': http://www.cgcircuit.com/instructor/chad.vernon http://www.cgcircuit.com/course/writing-a-production-ready-skin-exporter http://www.cgcircuit.com/course/introduction-to-the-maya-api Also +1 for ngSkinTools being good

Definitely more mature in some aspects Vlad, however the ability to send stuff back into a 3D app after calibration is pretty cool all the other stuff I'm sure they will be able to match up in time. Really impressed at how the foundry is trying to find workflow solutions to problems first and then building the tech around that. Rather then just throwing existing tech together. This very much feels like a welcoming gift from foundry to modo, its a piece of tech that benefits the design industry and shows that they are committed to the aliance. Re: Anyone seen that New Foundry Colorway Demo ?
I think the gift was mostly access to Nuke customer reel clips. :] (inlcuding a breathtaking intricately detailed Elysium landscapes and number of other shots I know to be largely SI) I know at Siggraph there tends to be all the same FX shots at every booth lol, but. And I find that Brad and other presenters could be somewhat less 'infomercial' sounding. Before the minute 55 point it's enhanced in game footage, or rather animation rendered via the unreal 3 engine.I think DD was using maya as their animation platform. After that point Soft, Arnold ,mootz and exocortex on the 3d side and Nuke for comping... Sent from my iPhone On Jul 11, 2014, at 2:25 AM, David Saber davidsa...@sfr.fr wrote: Nice! Hi, sorry, I was reffering to the narrative and not the tone of voice (or accent). having to filter out somewhat large portions of (marketing) fluff before getting more authentic content. (meaning somewhat more than average) I guess I wished he would be less 'trying to sell' and just show.
