Re: Goodbyes (was this is the end...)

2016-03-29 Thread Mirko Jankovic
actually we were considering adding those location details, do you have
work permit and stuff like that...
but after a bit of thinking we figured that we would like to keep it fast
and simple as possible.
when you are looking someone urgently you don;t care much where he is as
long as you can get him to task right away.
on the other hand for looking for someone when you have more time there are
ton of other web pages that allows more detailed recruitment.
idea was to keep it as simple and fast as possible.

but again we are still improving and adding and if more people think that
location filters are good idea then we will add them for sure.
you can always send ideas either here or on contact on cgfolio page. we are
pushing to implement all high priority requests
to make it better for everyone.

Great job!

Maybe a 'country' addition is useful for the filters?
One could browse for freelancers that are 'in the neighbourhood'.
It's not always possible to work remotely, or getting people in is too
expensive, when far away.

Hey guys,

Couple weeks ago I shared trello board for people to create their short
cards with contact info and portfolio.
As mentioned it was getting harder to find Softimage people this was fast
simple way to go and see fast who is available.

As trello was temporary solution and after some work new page is ready.
It is a bit extended edition of course but still offers same fast search
into freelance data base.
Go in find who do you need and contact. The rest is all up to you.
But without freelancers that has no meaning at all ofc so I will use this
post as invite for guys to come check and join.
And also anyone that is looking for help on project, and don;t have time
nor will to post on job boards, wait a week or two for posts, then spend
another week or two going over all applications...
Here is fast and simple way to filter out freelancers find exactly who you
need and get in contact as fast as possible.

So anyone is interested check out new http://www.cgfolio.com/

Always happy to receive critics and ideas for updates and improvements on
the page as after all it is ther eto help all of us in those deadline over
the head days... and nights :)
Hope it will help people to get contact for jobs and help others looking
for help to find right guys for the task at hand.

[JOB] Lead asset artist - Interference Pattern, Edinburgh, UK

2016-03-29 Thread Mailing Lists
Hi all,

A quick call out to the list. I know it's not overly active these days
but always worth a shot. We're looking for a lead asset artist, on-site
here at our studio in Edinburgh, UK. Ideally someone with a leaning
towards realistic fantasy and sci-fi environment, prop and vehicle builds
would be ideal given the nature of the project, but all considered. Full
job specs can be found on our site.

Unfortunately only suitable for those who are currently permitted to
work in the UK.

Initially for a short term contract of 2-3 months working on a really
exciting project, starting asap, but in an ideal world we are looking
for someone who would like fill the role on-going basis, if
circumstances allow.

Please email us at "info at interferencepattern dot com" for any more
details, questions etc and to apply.

Interference Pattern is a small but growing vfx and animation studio
based in the sunny/lovely/windy/snowy/beautiful/rainy/relaxed/foggy
(delete as appropriate depending on hour of the day), City of Edinburgh
in Scotland, UK. This position would be for ipBuild, our asset build arm
where we do a lot of cool asset builds for other studios, generally for
well known game trailer and cinematics projects but also commercials.

thanks
Tom B

Hi Adrian.

Might not be the answer you're looking for, but I've never used Realflow so
the only suggestion I can contribute is

try emReader... :/

Also if you need some extra push with rendering I can help out with some
small render power as well as you maybe already know from RS forums
