When you do the math on cloud services it just doesn't add up on the
'cheap' (free) 2-4 core nodes, to the time you have to wait (not priority).

Instead the 8 or 12 core machine cost relative money and can get your work
faster out (priority).

My guess is that they don't support virtualized redshifts for the win. They
do have gpu farms (specifically designated) under their own services (gpu
artist box) I think was the name of the sevice. Search it up on yt.

Who has had more experience using these clouds with (exclusively) softimage
in 2017?

Usually I do not offer rendering service. We have a small 8 node cpu based 
render farm, not doing work atm. Problem is holiday is around the corner and we 
are having slow internet connection until January. So I'm not sure if this a 
good idea.
You would get a FTP account for uploading the project files and downloading the 
final images. We can render scenes from XSI2011 and 2015 nativly. Everything in 
between will be rendered from within 2015. I can do some tests and tell you if 
I can reach your time frame.

Rebus is limited by software.doesn’t have Arnold licensing issues I 
think

Garage render bad GUIslow download

Zync (AWS) has a great/simple GUI, good upload/download speeds (as you go), but 
limits to 500 machines, 100/job. Miserable tech supportyou have to wait 4 
day’s even if it’s their problem

Azure Batch (MSFT), great GUI, very new, I haven’t tried it yet, but we’re 
switching over to it soon thru Deadline

Those are the ones I’m familiar with.if I had to use one, I’d go with 
Azure, followed by Zync
