A priori si tu suis la predure du howto et que les packages relatifs au 2.4.x sont bien installés(pppd 2.4.x (notament), etc) tu ne devrais pas rencontrer de difficultés. Bonjour a tous, La nouvelle version beta de la mandrake 8.1 beta 3 propose une installation simplifiée du speed touch USB pour ceux qui n'ont pas encore réussi à l'installer, le modem est reconnu automatiquement et l'install est hyper simple, la connexion est assez stable. Try with hdparm -u 1 and or -m 16 or change timeout line 254 in
modem_run.c (BLOCK1 is 991 bytes - 5 ms). But this stuff failing every
time, IDE are not that bad.

Après tout pppoa pousse un paquet sortant à 12mb/s sur l'USB et le modem n'a que 160 kb/s sur la ligne. Lorsque ses buffers sont pleins, il fait quoi le modem? C'est simple à vérifier.
