I wish someone could answer as I'm having similar issues. Been without music for three days and it's driving me nuts. I actually have 31 aiff files (from early HDTRACKS downloads) and did notice I got "Unhandled AIFF chunk COMT size 26 (skipped)" messages as well as those WAV errors listed above. So I copied only these into a separate folder and re-ran a scan against them The ssh session returned 35 "Unhandled AIFF chunk COMT size 26 (skipped)" messages (4 more than the actual aiff files I have) If I browse inside LMS, I see all 31 aiff files and I have started playing the tracks without any issues. So I can conclude (at least for this small aiff test) that the files appear in LMS and play ok. Would still like to know what the issue means and whether I can 100% ignore it. This seems to be a problem with cache, I managed to get new version installed after erasing cache*.* in /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache and restarting barberousse's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63897 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106097 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

I can reproduce your problem, and I can't find a solution yet: LMS 7.9 calculates a different sha1sum of the file than me (the one given in http://domoticzcontrol.e-monsite.com/medias/files/repo.xml), and refuses to install it, I don't understand. barberousse's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63897 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106097 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Alexa and LMS - new lease of life?
A quick update; I've managed to get a basic proxy implementation built into my plugin. This means that traffic from the skill will now come directly to the plugin and can be assessed there to ensure its legitimate. From there, commands care forwarded on to the LMS. This means that users won't need to expose their LMS api to the big bad world. Yay! I used Max2Play to install LMS which it does with the minimum of fuss. Since then, I have not used the M2P interface for anything else and have had no problems in using MYSQL, Apache, PHP to develop my own applications. Samba works fine as does SSH, from the command line things just seem to work like a standard Rasbian install. It even runs Plex very nicely on my pi3 which I am using to stream music, movies, my virtual art collection and all my photos. No problems at all. I didn't update so I tried removing the repository and removing 1.03. After LMS restarted I added the repository and the plugin is ready for install. However it won't install! I'll try rebooting the complete server tomorrow. Maybe update LMS if a newer version is ready. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] gettting Unhandled WAV chunk on scan
I just moved from windows to linux (Centos 6.8). I started LMS manually and while rescanning, my terminal session reported many messages of the type: Unhandled WAV chunk UITS size 1108 (skipped) Unhandled WAV chunk bext size 858 (skipped) Unhandled WAV chunk DMC size 16 (skipped) Unhandled WAV chunk cart size 2048 (skipped) Are these an issue? Though of course, with this skill, it will attempt to play Abba on an actual Squeezebox (whichever one you have selected). To get the Echo to actually play back the audio stream is a different kettle of fish. This would require a skill that made the Echo emulate a SB and allow you to control it from LMS like an actual squeezebox. That will be my next project ;-) sota wrote: > > On a side note, I see from your web site that you are using the Cytech > Comfort alarm system, thanks for the link to the MQTT driver for it. That it's still going strong and can be integrated into modern IoT based infrastructures is telling. Meep, very impressive! Will it be possible to tell it what to play - i.e. "Alexa, tell squeezeserver to play Abba"? Or is that even possible with the Echo? On a side note, I see from your web site that you are using the Cytech Comfort alarm system, thanks for the link to the MQTT driver for it. I had my system "professionally" installed when we were doing our house extension, but the company walked away from the job after they realised they had forgotten to run control cables to the keypad and the scene control switches! As it happens, I have many thousands of FLAC files, and recently I have been trying to make sure that they all have album covers embedded in them, so this could have triggered the problem. I will do as you suggest and add some logging to try to see if there is one in particular that triggers the behaviour.
