I understand you and feel with you. As mentioned before, I had never any issues installing and/or upgrading LMS on my QNAP. But I committed all those changes @'Man in a van' listed to my system. Maybe you'll give them a try, as soon as you aren't tired anymore. I'd be glad to help you with it. :) karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
El Zombie Forgive the parts that are already familiar to you in this endeavour, but this is how I used to do it on a Qnap TS121. A quick précis: I assume that you have the correct v7.2.2 already installed on the Qnap. My suggestion is to do some basic configuration and play back, say Radio Paradise, just to check that it works. Then open the SSOTS web gui and stop LMS. Use WinScp to perform the operations detailed in this post, http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?69986-SSODS-4-released&p=784918&viewfull=1#post784918 remember the path might be different and also to save each change to the files. Download this file and place it on the Qnap nas in the Public Share. Code: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/7.9/sc/a519d5e/logitechmediaserver-7.9.1-1504317335.tgz Rename the file to Squeezeboxmediaserver (I think that is correct) Go back to the open SSOTS in a web browser. LMS is already stopped Restart LMS. Then you might want to read this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?101137-Upgrading-to-LMS7-8-on-my-TS-119-Success!&p=844824&viewfull=1#post844824 I don't know if the new Spotty or the YouTube plug in will work, you will just have to try. I stopped using my Qnap (ARM processor) over 12 months ago and now run it on a Raspbian Stretch-Lite rpi3b. Much better. Or the picoreplayer. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
Probably your QNAP ran out of flash memory since /tmp lies there. And if your QNAP doesn't use HDA_DATA but CACHEDEV1_DATA as mountpoint for your HDD, /share/HDA_DATA lies in flash, too. With the symbolic link you avoid filing up the flash. But the move command won't run through, either. Do not forget to remove the tgz from /share/HDA_DATA/Public to get some flash memory back. karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Bought QNAP TS251+ and alreay regret it...
I don't know what you always do. I did this quite often a while ago and as long as my QNAP hosted my LMS. If WinSCP doesn't work for you or with you ;) take putty in SSH mode (not this psftp) and enter the following: Code: cd /share ln -s CACHEDEV1_DATA/Public HDA_DATA/Public That creates a symbolic link from /share/HDA_DATA/Public to /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Public. So SSOTS should find the tgz at last. If that didn't work, move it via SSH from /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Public to /tmp: Code: cd /share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/Public mv squeezeboxserver*tgz /tmp karlek's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=64321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107971 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

michaelvv wrote: > Okay this is really a bad way to do it, but I'm playing my compressed > DFF,DSF files in LMS now. Why is it a bad way - defining a new audio type without changing LMS code is the right way. You should no change convert.conf anf types .conf but add your own rules to custom-convert.conf and custom-types.conf The binary does not have to be in LMS directory as long it is on the system path (e.g. local/bin) . If you want to handle file specifci info & metadata such as playing time - that means code changes to scanner. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107942 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Does LMS 7.9.1 support Wavpack DSD playback?
Okay this is really a bad way to do it, but I'm playing my compressed DFF,DSF files in LMS now. I'm on a linux version , so this is what I did.. As I never shall use wavpack for anything else as DFF,DSF I just did these things. in */etc/squeezeboxserver/types.conf* I altered the wvp line to wvp wv audio/dsf audio in */etc/squeezeboxserver/convert.conf* I added these lines Code: wvp dsf * * # FT:{START=--skip=%t}U:{END=--until=%v}D:{RESAMPLE=-r %d} [wvunpack] $FILE$ --dsf $START$ $END$ -o - in library */usr/share/squeezeboxserver/Bin/x86_64-linux* I copied the new vwunpack files at least version 5.0.0 , it was version 4.5 And then I just restarted the server systemctl restart logitechmediaserver PS! Bugs: The time on the playing song is not working correctly, shows much longer time. michaelvv's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=59321 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=107942 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Now (tested with rasbian 32 & 64bit) only the needed architecture should be used.
