[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Amazon Music

2020-03-09 Thread rabrown2a

Hello, I just started a trial of Amazon Music HD thinking I might be
able to use my Media Server to send the play list to my stereo. can't
figure out how to do that, though. Is it really possible?

Thanks,
Rick

Thanks. I'm guessing I'll try to do it programatically. I'll see how it
goes.

I was never able to get this new version built, which I know is
definitely down to user error.

If this is newer build of Audio::Scan then does it not make sense to add
it to the nightlies since there are other people reporting the same
issue?

The updated faad binaries are included in LMS 8.0 builds from March 3rd.

It's a fairly trivial task to make libraries out of flac or mp3 files
without restructuring your file system.

There* is* a switch library function, but you'd need to arrange your
file system to suit.

I have a library of 18,000+ tracks that I use regularly, (Squeezebox
music), but I also have my wife's music, spare music, classical music
and Christmas music. All these are in separate folders. I can easily
switch to using the contents of any/all of these folders as my library.

I set up "Library Views" using "Advanced Search" criteria is "path
contains". Steps below.

Thanks for your reply.
This probably won't work for me, because I actually added something like
"FLAC - " to the album names of all my FLACs, so they probably won't be
seen as duplicates to LMS.

all the time to clutter my library. A long time ago, I have the MP3
folder listed on the folder list on LMS but with all items (music,
picture, etc) unchecked, and that used to allow me to go into the MP3
folder via "music folder" view, but it's no longer the case.

That should still work. Make sure you've enabled the "Browse Filesystem"
or similar item in Settings/Player/Additional Browse Modes.

Try Server Settings, Advanced Tab, Additional Browse Views: Library
Views - Hide Lossy Duplicates.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] separate libraries?

2020-03-09 Thread eduardoo

I have LMS (7.9.X) set up on my QNAP NAS. On the NAS, I have my FLAC
files and MP3 files stored under two different main folders. Most of
the time, I just need to access the flac files, so the flac folder is
what the LMS is set to scan. However, from time to time, it would be
nice if I can access that MP3 folder/database without having it there
all the time to clutter my library. A long time ago, I have the MP3
folder listed on the folder list on LMS but with all items (music,
picture, etc) unchecked, and that used to allow me to go into the MP3
folder via "music folder" view, but it's no longer the case.

Is there a way to set up with two libraries and call them up separately
and easily? I tried looking into the settings and plugins and remain
clueless as to what can allow me to do that.

Thanks.
