[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Genres not showing for some vinyl and/or cassette tape ripped music.
The other day I was looking at what music I have in different genres. While filtering I noticed some of the music digitized from LP (vinyl) or cassette tapes didn't show up. These albums or tapes all have been tagged with the appropriate genre, but they aren't listed under the genre in LMS. The genre shows up in LMS, but the (vinyl/cassette ripped) music assigned to the genre does not. Changing the genre of a song ripped from a CD worked. It showed up under the genre in question. Each LP and cassette tape were digitized to single .wav files, split into separate songs and then converted to .flac using EAC. Finally Foobar 2000 was used to tag each album/song. The genres for some of the music done this way works, but some don't. I'm using LMS version 8 running on Windows 10. Any idea what might cause this issue? Any idea where to start troubleshooting? After it happened again tonight during a Random Mix playlist I am beginning to think it will happen with every similar playlist and the only reason I rarely see it is because I normally play albums. Any idea which logging I can turn on to investigate further? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] pi LMS - Bandcamp wishlist sort-order
I've just installed Logitech Media Server Version: 8.0.0 - 1594451286 on a new Pi4 (4Mb) to potentially supersede my current LMS. The first oddity I have found is that if I try to change my Bandcamp wishlist order to "Sort by time of addition", I get a waiting for server message at the bottom of the screen which does not clear until I force "Stop Loading the Page". I see it sometimes when I play a long mp3 that is split up virtually using a .cue file When it happens, if I click Next track then it starts playing the track that was already playing but from the start and with the correct info shown. Does nobody else see this? It isn't just the artwork but all of the track info shown on the now playing screen is for the previous track. I am sure I have seen this same issue mentioned on the forum before.
