I got the same logging when trying to play it on ipeng on my iPhone as when trying to stream it to the squeezelite player I have upgraded. Do you know where I can set the bit rate? Is that on player settings? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Online Music Library Integration (Tidal) and Album Artists
Hi there, I like the idea of scanning the online library only once and adding everything to the library, but in my case, it all ends up in a big mess. What is supposed to happen, anyway? It looks like - favourite tracks are dropped, - favourite albums end up directly in the album list of an artist, - favourite artists get a special "browse on Tidal" menu pick, - favourite playlists end up in playlists. Right now, I have three problems with that: - All contributing artists of a favourite album are added to the album artists list. For example "Chess (The Original Recording)" adds a host of new album artists although it should just be listed under "Various Artists". - The sorting of the artists differs from the sorting in my local library. I have tagged all tracks with "albumartistsort" (= last name, first name), so the online library creates duplicate entries. This can probably not be fixed entirely, but one could attempt to match at least existing artists from the local library. - The library view containing only local music still lists all the online content. There is probably more, but I haven't given this much time, yet. Right now, the collection is too confusing to reveal any details. scaleo home server 2105 | logitech media server 8.0.0 | server power control 20120716.103808 | transporter & duet & touch & boom & radio | rotel rc-995 & rmb-100 | nubert nuvero 140 mvordeme's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=22892 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113129 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Rats, so the opus streams are now working, but on a flac stream it's trying to convert to mp3 using lame, but the log is indicating the binary lame couldn't be found. Perhaps anybody knows how I can install this? I can't find a good answer online after searching for a while :S Hawkeyenl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70820 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113113 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] (Some) music not playing on (some) players
Just finished upgrading my squeezelite installation to the 1.9.7-1278 version, and looking at the logs now I can that it's no longer transcoding the opus stream to Flac. So it all seems to be resolved now, thanks everybody for the help & I've learned a few things along the way about LMS as well! You're the best, worked right away, didn't even need to restart LMS :D I'm still gonna update the Squeezelite-installation though :D Hawkeyenl's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70820 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113113 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] (Some) music not playing on (some) players
I think the DS212+ uses an arm cpu. You could try downloading the 'lms arm sox binary' (https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/raw/public/8.0/Bin/arm-linux/sox) which has opus support and try running it on the NAS. If it works, you should be able to replace /volume2/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/Bin/sox with the updated one, keeping a copy of the original file first. You may also need to change the permissions to match that of the current sox program. Quite often the execute permissions are dropped from downloaded files. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.2 does not start on Readynas ultra pro 4
> Save yourself the hassle of trying to > update the NAS. It's too late, Mike.. ))) I've installed SSH addon to Netgear and now Upgrading a legacy ReadyNAS from RAIDiator 4.2.x to 6.2.x. Hopefully this will fix "IO::Socket::SSL" problem. If not - here's the solution: Code: I ssh'd to my box and tried: $ apt-get update $ apt-get install libio-socket-ssl-perl But apt-get could not connect to the proper repositories to grab the required files. I checked /etc/apt/sources.list and found this: $ cat /etc/apt/sources.list http://www.readynas.com/packages 4.2.31/ #deb http://archive.debian.org/debian etch After removing the leading '#' in the 2nd line (comment) I retried the above two commands, this time IO::Socket::SSL installed OK. Spotty is now running on my NAS :-) Thanks for your help and all you're doing to keep LMS alive! f1ash's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=60207 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110039 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 7.9.2 does not start on Readynas ultra pro 4
I do have a will but I am not sure if I have the knowledge. I'll try to dig into it on the netgear forums. You just gave the perfect reason why to move away from this unit to run LMS: On the other hand I tried to install several other versions: 7.9.0, 7.9.1 and 7.9.2. 7.9.2 did not work for me just like 7.9.3, 7.9.4 and 8.0.0 7.9.0 and 7.9.1 are working fine. The only issue that I've noticed was a bug with the plugins. I can't see the list of 3d party plugins and it looks like LMS couldn't connect to repository. The box lacks IO::Socket::SSL, and it's nothing you can easily update on that system. SSL is getting ever more important. I'd really strongly suggest you go the Pi route. Save yourself the hassle of trying to update the NAS. I am sorry for a bit of off topic here, but probably you could help me with this, Michael. After installing 7.7.7 I found a new feature - the screensaver (Digital VU or Analog VU) works on both screens now on Transporter. Wow! But there's a small "Now playing" text that is really annoying. Please see picture: Ahm... no idea... I think I've never used that screensaver. But from a quick glance at the code this is hard-coded. -- Michael ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] (Some) music not playing on (some) players
I posted a reply there seeing if I can get somebody to help me with building sox with opus support on my synology, if that works we can git it working for other people in the future as well. I'll update my squeezelite installation for sure anyway, I have the same issue when playing back over ipeng on my iPhone, so I can still reproduce the issue after I update my squeezelite installation.
