I don't run LMS on my MacBook, so I have no first hand advice. I have
however seen several threads with a solution. Might be worth searching
these forums.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Can't work on Mac Big Sur

2021-06-12 Thread Titans

Hi, I had recently installed the media server on my MacBook, but I
cannot have the server to work for my rig. Whenever I launch the server
in preferences it immediately stops and I have no idea why. I've already
added the library folder as shown here Library/Logs/Squeezebox and still
no luck for server.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] New in 7.9.2: Presets editor

2021-06-12 Thread kidstypike

Those notes of mine were written a long time ago, I've discovered that
with the *Presets Editor* plugin this has been simplified.

You can assign a favourite to number buttons 1 - 6 using the Presets
Editor at LMS > Settings > Player tab > *Presets Editor, *either before
or after you've done the settings on the Touch.

Then on your Touch -

Settings > Advanced > Beta Features > Shortcuts

Scroll down to "*IR Hold 1"* right arrow *>* scroll down to "*Set preset
1"* right arrow *>* the screen will now show "*IR Hold 1 (custom)*"

>From "*IR Hold 1 (custom)"* right arrow *>* scroll down and select
"*Play peset 1*"

Repeat the above for the remaining number buttons (1–6 only) there is no
“Set preset” or “Play preset” for number buttons 0,7,8,9).

A long press on number button 1 will now play the preset that you
assign(ed) to that button using the *Presets Editor*.

I've just done a factory reset on one of my Touches and used the above
method without problem.

Thank you, have got to the end of the upgrades and after a short look
through 8.1.1 everything seems ok on all the players.

I was shocked by all the extra artist bits in the menu compared to
7.7.2, but when I get a chance I will look through and change to meet my
needs.

Once again, thanks for your help.

I can confirm it - the Community Firmware plugin v0.0.6 together with

If you have done this correctly, a long press on the number button
should start your assigned favourite. Mine does. From the "Now Playing"
screen a long press on number button #1 starts the track "Come Away with
me" which is what is assigned to that button (pic below).

The Touch is currently showing firmware 7.7.2-r9663, but is telling me

reconnects to LMS 8.1.1?

I've never done an upgrade before and the more I read the less inclined

should be OK. The Radios were never updated to 7.8 so they need the
patch.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Upgrade to LMS 8.1.1

2021-06-12 Thread greenparent

Hi, I am going to be upgrading from LMS 7.7.2 to 8.1.1 on my old WHS v2
(server 2008) and have read that before I do this I should install a
Version Comparison Fix patch on my two SB Radios. Do I have to install
this patch on my SB Touch as well?

I can't find the applet installer on my SB Classics or SB Booms, so
assume the firmware will update automatically on them!

Any advice gratefully received.
