[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS playback time problem
Hi everyone: I have used LMS for 2-3 months and found 3 unusual problems. So I hope someone could fix these problems. (Please endure my poor English writing) 1. Track time synchronization problem with Hires music file : It's only happen with hires music file (>44.1). The track time is not correct with the actual time while I jump the track time location. If I change the track time to the last couple seconds and keep the playback to the end, the display of track time is the same as the actual music play time. After the actual music playback ends, I have to wait for several seconds or minutes to the next track. 2. Spotify connect problem : With using spotify connect, while I move the slider to the last couple seconds, it's fine to change the track time and play, but after the end of the track, the player sometimes skips the next song and play the "next next" track. 3. Spotify connect time synchronization issue : With spotify connect, the track time will not synchronize with the music while it's ok to use the material skin. cshin1213's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=71995 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114937 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Scanner terminating unexpectedly
Thank you, that got me on the right track, the problem is fixed. What I did: 1) enable "info-level" logging for "scan.auto" and for "scan.import" ( Settings -> Advanced -> Logging ) 2) start a "Rescan Media library" (Clear library and Rescan everything). 3) As soon, as in Info the information about termination showed up, I looked at the last line of the info log, that showed the offending file 4) I looked at the file. And in all of the cases, one or more files of that album had "additional APE tags" of some sorts 5) I opened MP3Tag, it also has a column "Tag", where it shows the tag-types used in the file 6) For the files having "APE" tags in them ( I then opened the whole album with the offending APE tags in them ), I selected the line with the offending track, pressed Ctrl-X (cut tags) and Ctrl-V (paste tags), that way, only the "useful" tags where pasted back in 7) I did an incremental search (Look for new and changed media files) and got rid of all the superfluous APE tags. In future, I'll have a close look at that "tag" column in MP3Tag when adding stuff. Hi annomatik My reply to an essentially similar question last year at https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?112417-Library-scanning-issues=978819=1#post978819 may or may not be of help. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS 8.2.0 Streaming Modes
Hi, I have two questions regarding those new modes. The first question. My setting is per default set to 'Normal streaming'. That setting is not explained when I hover over that Info Icon. Is that the behaviour pre-8.2.0? The second question. Is it possible to run Cached Mode from RAM (tmpfs)? Probably I have to point the ram disk to a subfolder of /var/lib/squeezeboxserver/cache ? is audio cached as compressed audio like it's downloaded from the music provider and I can get away with something like a 1 or 2 Gig RAM disk? Thanks for the great work. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.2.0 released
I installed some monts ago the 8.1.1 using docker (Synology does not maintain this package yet) and lmmscommunity-logitechmediaserver in a Synology NAS. Is there any way to do the update automatic ? (I dont want to uninstall and install the new version). I am not very clever with docker. When you install in docker, you define what tag you want to use. If you were using "latest" rather than "8.1.1" specifically, you should be able to simply pull down the latest again and restart it. For Synology specifics please use a relevant thread, or start a new one, if the above doesn't work. ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Hi: Congratulations for the 8.2.0 I installed some monts ago the 8.1.1 using docker (Synology does not maintain this package yet) and lmmscommunity-logitechmediaserver in a Synology NAS. Is there any way to do the update automatic ? (I dont want to uninstall and install the new version). I am not very clever with docker. I am very happy with 8.x. The integration with streaming media (Spotify) is impressive. Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.2.0 released
Interesting. On my RasPi "Streaming mode for HTTP(S)" -*replaces*- "Synchronised Players Startup Delay". The latter would only be shown if you had multiple players connected (because otherwise syncing isn't a thing). On the system where you don't see the new option, could you go to the LMS cache folder (see Settings/Information) and remove the templates sub-folder, then restart LMS? Would that fix the issue? ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
