Hi I downloaded the recent LMS version, run "dpkg -i logitechmediaserver_8.3.0_arm.deb" on my Raspberry Pi and saw the following output: "(Reading database ... 38381 files and directories currently installed.) "Preparing to unpack logitechmediaserver_8.3.0_arm.deb ... "Unpacking logitechmediaserver (8.3.0) over (8.2.0) ... "dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of logitechmediaserver: " logitechmediaserver depends on libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl; however: " Package libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl is not installed. " "dpkg: error processing package logitechmediaserver (--install): " dependency problems - leaving unconfigured "Processing triggers for systemd (215-17+deb8u13) ... "Errors were encountered while processing: " logitechmediaserver I started LMS manually with "service logitechmediaserver start" and so far everything looks fine. The configuration is taken over from 8.2.0 and I can stream music fine enough. I tried to install the package with "apt install libcrypt-openssl-rsa-perl" but there seems to be some issue with the package repository. I might have to update my Raspberry some time in the near future. Im using a phone so cant open attached images until Im on a PC. By default QNAP has either a Qmultimedia or a Multimedia top level folder and within that Music, Videos, Pictures. Normally you would point at LMS at Music only. Are all your files inside there or have you created a second store alongside eg Music2 ? I finally released Logitech Media Server 8.3.0. It's mostly a maintenance release without any major new features. Oh, hold on... unless you're a Mac user! Apple provided a good reason to get LMS 8.3.0 out: macOS 13 Ventura removed the Perl version we've relied on for about a decade. So, the new feature are: - Support for macOS 13 (native Apple Silicon as well as Intel) But there are a ton of changes, smaller or bigger. Many of which have been contributed by you guys out there. However I note that you mention '774'. My files state '0770 ?. Relatively inexperienced with digging into LMS - I have a QNAP NAS, which has been working very well for quite some time. Just recently I have noticed when adding new Music Folders to my NAS, they are not appearing in the LMS. Permissions for all my music folders are identical, so I have ruled that problem out? As an experiment, I installed LMS on my Windows 10 PC and discovered that all the 'missing' folders are there and accessible. I do not want to run my PC 24/7 to enable me to listen to music on my Squeezebox, when my Qnap NAS is available in the background. Could someone please offer an expalnation to why these new folders are not accessible on my NAS? To the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed on my NAS, but I will appreciate anyone telling me what could possibly be wrong.
