Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DNS network issue

2017-07-28 Thread boydd_uk

I don't think there is a plug socket free in the house for another
gadget! I followed this excellent guide for installing 7.9.1 on qnap
and it seems to have installed OK, although not done a great deal of
testing yet!

https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?f=123=111583=ba17a0060683aaa92a1fc0aa39a71bca

Thanks for the help

This was the problem, restarting the LMS solves the problem, thank you.
I guess I should take the plunge and update lms. What's the best stable
version to go for (which resolves this DNS issue)?

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] DNS network issue

2017-07-25 Thread boydd_uk

My lms can no longer resolve ip addresses it seems. I've checked my DNS
settings in the Network Control panel and everything looks fine, and
I've done a few nslookups from the console and that works fine also.

I'm using a qnap ts 251 and lms 7.7.5. I've recently installed a few
things on my nas including qget, qpython, cacert etc., and also the
firmware updates itself every two minutes also. So I'm not sure what
has caused the issue.

The errors look like below - I can't access any radios, any ideas
appreciated, this dns issue seems to be specific to lms.

0001: [17-07-25 22:25:06.3414] Slim::Formats::RemoteStream::open (95)
Error: Couldn't resolve IP address for: aod-pod-uk-live.akamaized.net

I extracted the 64 bit files from the tarball for 7.9 and copied over as
a quick fix. Thanks for all your help on this - would never have gotten
to the bottom of this otherwise!

No I don't appear to have that directory, just the directories I listed
above. I'm using SSOTS 4.14.

Thanks this does seem the likely problem but I'm not sure where the
64bit versions are to copy into the directory.

I've noticed faad and flac seem to live here:

/share/CACHEDEV1_DATA/.qpkg/LogitechMediaServer/bin

In the var/home/squeezeboxserver/bin I also have distribution folders:

arm-linux
powerpc-linux
sparc-linux

as well as the i386-linux folder where the apps seem to be loading from?
