Therefore SSL connections fail. Try a LMS restart, > or pCP reboot. Thank you for your insight, Michael. I can now see that the time problem is key. Should have noticed before that the 'time screen' on my SQB radio is totally incorrect. This, I assume, is why I am getting the 'Connect time out' messages - i.e. due to a mismatch between when I make the request in (false) picoreplayer time as compared to the response in real time. I have rebooted pcp and restarted lms as you have suggested, but have not solved the time problem. It may be of interest to relate that if I run my SQB radio from a laptop with lms 8.1.1 downloaded, there is no similar timing problem. However, the laptop is closed a large part of the day and is not a solution I am happy with. So, what next? All help most gratefully received. fmanchu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33960 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114718 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Plugins not updating
I have been successfully running picoreplayer/rpi/LMS with a SQB radio for months - until a few days ago when I noticed that I had no third party plugins and therefore no Spotty or BBC Sounds. I have reinstalled picoreplayer and LMS on the rpi but with no improvement in the error messages. The following extract from the log file shows a heap of problems which unfortunately I have no idea how to fix. Any help gratefully received, thank you. The suggestions from many to ditch LMS v7.9.1 on my ancient ReadyNAS, buy a rPi4B, and enjoy the benefits of LMS in v8.0 are very much appreciated. The ReadyNAS continues to contain all my music which, together with BBC Sounds and Spotty, are all now available to me through the rPi4B. All sorted just in time, following the recent demise of the good old faithful BBCiPlayer. Thanks all once again. fmanchu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33960 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113282 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.0.0 released!
Thank you both (mherger & garym) for your super quick response. I very much feared that would be the answer. So, LMS to be accessed elsewhere and keep the good old ReadyNAS as file server. So be it :-) fmanchu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33960 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113282 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Logitech Media Server 8.0.0 released!
Very excited to update my LMS, as from the following you will note I am still stuck back on LMS 7.9.1 with severe plugin update problems - but sadly LMS also "fails" to update to 8.0.0. Although this needs further explanation. It would appear that the ReadyNAS accepts the update but I cannot open LMS on my WIN 10 laptop. I get an error message in the browser window to the effect that it will not connect to the ReadyNAS. Very strange as this also exactly occurs with LMS 7.9.3 whereas my LMS 7.9.1 (on reinstall) gives no problem (apart from the plugin update problem noted above. It may be useful to note that I have successfully installed Spotty but failed with BBC Sounds whilst using LMS 7.9.1. My further interest in an LMS update is my present lack of all third party plugin options (why?) and the line "Bad repository http/repos.squeezecommunity.org/extensions.xml - connect timed out" at the head of the plug-in tab side in 'settings'. Any help to solve this problem will be much appreciated even if it's simply to say that my ancient Ready NAS needs to be retired and the update I really need is in the hardware ;-) Possibly useful info from running LMS 7.9.1 follows: LMS on ReadyNAS Ultra Duo / Plus [20-11-25 09:01:21.6352] main::init (387) Starting Logitech Media Server (v7.9.1, 1522157629, Fri Mar 30 12:30:24 CEST 2018) perl 5.008008 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi [20-11-25 09:01:32.8379] Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::_downloadError (217) unable to download BBCiPlayer from https://bpa-code.github.io/bpaplugins/BBCiPlayer-V1_6_10.ZIP - Connect timed out: [20-11-25 09:01:32.8739] Slim::Utils::PluginDownloader::_downloadError (217) unable to download BBCiPlayerExtra from https://bpa-code.github.io/bpaplugins/BBCiPlayerExtra-v304_0.ZIP - Connect timed out: - Logitech Media Server Version: 7.9.1 - 1522157629 @ Fri Mar 30 12:30:24 CEST 2018 Hostname: nas-B2-B9-B8 Server IP Address: 192.168.1.15 Server HTTP Port Number: 9000 Operating system: Netgear RAIDiator - EN - iso-8859-1 Platform Architecture: i686-linux Perl Version: 5.8.8 - i486-linux-gnu-thread-multi Audio::Scan: 0.95 Database Version: DBD::SQLite 1.34_01 (sqlite 3.7.7.1) Total Players Recognized: 2 fmanchu's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=33960 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113282 ___ Squeezecenter mailing list Squeezecenter@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/squeezecenter
