OK, think I have donr that on the Mac at lreast. iT has located my LMS music library and installed Qobuz stream. Displays albums, artists etc and it is very fast. I can twiddle settings on appearance etc. But hitting Play Now I am net with silence = from both music library and Qobuz stream. Nor does it show the rack is even playing (so unlikley to be an issue wth audio setting I assume). What am I not doing ? Hi At present I am running LMS 7.9 on my IMac where my FLAC music library also resides. I also have. Qobuz subscription. I run Squeezepad on an Ipad to use as a control point and direct output to my UPnP and Airplay enabled DAC / amplifier (Lyngdorf tda3400). When using Airplay as the route across the network all works reasonably well. However there are limitation - the inbuilt resolution limit built into Airplay (16/44?) and the fact I cannot save favourite tracks listened to on Qobuz via Squeezepad (to save favourites I have to go upstairs to the Mac and use the Qobuz interface directly). To overcome the Airplay limit I thought I would try switching to UPnP. Yes, I get a connection but funny things happen when I try and use Squeezepad. Tracks will only play one at a time (so cannot play a playlist or album without selecting every individual track), the play next track feature ( >>) does not work and at times a track will just stop playing as it nears the end. I have tried changing and checking some of the parameters in LMS (eg play all tracks on album) to no avail. So not sure where to look. Is this simply a problem with different interpretations of UPnP, is it a Squeezepad issue, have the Qobuz and UPnP plugins for LMS been updated and I should try and reload ? Or should I be looking for an LMS / Squeezepad alternative ? I did briefly try Audirvana but hated the Ipad interface when compared to Squeezepad (even though it did have the ability to save Qobuz favourites). [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] I am confused . . .
I have LMS on my Mac, along with my ripped flac library. I also use Qobuz using the LMS plugin. I play music over wifi on either my stereo or Ipad. My amp is equipped with direct inputs for UPNP and Airplay (also Spotify and Roon). UPNP causes problems with inputs suddenly defaulting to UPNP if LMS is running although I am using a different input (eg optical input for the TV). So I am using Airplay which seems Ok except that every minute or two the stream stops completely for a second or so. It is not periodic, just happens now and then but often. If I play through my Ipad (in the same room) I do not get these dropouts. What is the Ipad using to pick up the signal ? Is it also running Airplay or something else ? As I have the Airplay bridge running under LMS is all streaming output conveyed in this way ? Bottom line is why the dropouts then ? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Squeezepad issues ?
Last week, all was fine. I do not know why, but suddenly track selection and playing has become rather strange; 1) I can only select a track by holding my finger on the icon and waiting for the Play Now, Add to End etc. Options to appear. 2) The track then plays normally but simply stops at the end. The next track in the album or playlist is not played (I have play all songs in list selected in the settings of Logitech Media Server v9.2). 3) Although, whilst playing a track, I can move the progress slider along, the time changes but all audio is lost. 4) Selecting the Play Next Track icon just starts the same track from the start. 5) I cannot select a track just by tapping on it - I have to hold my finger down as in (1) above. 6) Not sure if these issues are generated by Squeezepad or LMS but things changed without me knowingly making any alterations. LMS v7.9.2 (running on Mac) Played over wifi (UPNP) direct to digital amp. IOS v13.2 on IPad Same symptoms whether I am playing tracks from my own media library (held on the Mac) or via streaming service Qobuz. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Qobuz Dropouts
I am running LMS 7.9 with the Qobuz plugin. All was well until a few weeks ago when I started having total dropouts when playing back Qobuz playlsists. They only last for a second or two and happen every couple of minutes (varying, not periodic). It does not happen if I am playing Qobuz playlists directly on my Mac, suggesting it is an issue related to Wifi coverage (playback is via UPnP and using Squeezepad as a controller). I can't think of anything in the house that could suddenly have started disrupting things and have tried turning several appliances etc. off to no avail. I did change the Mac OS to Catalina a few weeks back - would this have anything to do with it ? Qobuz version is JS version5.3.0-b009 Desktop version5.3.0-b005 Any ideas where can start to look for the source of the problem ? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] How do I set up uPNP ?
I've a new amplifier that supports uPNP and want to connect it to my music library via LMS (7.9.1). But don't really know where to start. When I select a uPNP input on the amp it immediately finds my router (a TP Link) and goes on to display 4 sub-directories (Music, Videos, Pictures and Browse Folders). I've no idea where it is picking these folders / options from. None of them can be opened. uPNP is enabled on the router but it does not list any connections. My music library is stored at /LMS Music Library/Music/Flac As an aside LMS also runs the Qobuz plugin. Music library is FLAC but with a handful of 24/48 and 24/96 files (I dont see any point in better than CD standard really). How do I enable those options ? I can only see one entry in the Plugins section for Andy Gruddmans interface. Nothing about Phillipes. I have Andys option ticked and in the active section. By the way, I think the directories I am seeing (I get just the same thing via my Oppo blu ray player) must be part of the router structure (TPLink). Looks like I am not being able to get past the router itself. Does this mean there is a port I need to open somewhere. As you know, I can access LMS through IP:9000. Hi Benn running LMS on a Vortexbox, piped to a Raspberry Pi and controlled with Orangesqueeze. All works fine, esp. now with the Qobuz plugin. But replacing my older IMac in a couple of weeks with more capacity so thought I would run both LMS and my media library from there and dispense with the Vortexbox ( I dont have much need for auto ripping now). So, I went to the LMS site just to give it a try (OSX 10.13.1) and downloaded LMS 7.7.5 BUT Where does it go ? The installation process is fast (well under a minute) and I am told it was successful. But where is the application? Cant see it in Applications or in any other folder. Is there a fundamental issue in downloading to 10.13.1 (LMS site only states up to 10.11) ? In theory am I right in thinking that, soon, I can run LMS on my new Mac and still use the Qobuz plugin ? [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS not playing tracks anymore
I've LMS v7.7.2 installed on a Vortexbox, and until recently all was OK. I've not made any changes in settings etc. Now however I can't play any tracks. At the moment I am on my Imac which is cabled to the Vortexbox and I'm using LMS through the Vortexbox GUI. I can load all my music files, and select them (at least on the lhs of the GUI screen), but they do not usually appear on the rhs (occasionally do), and certainly don't play. I assume I am 'Player 1' in this situation (certainly not the SB3, Touch and raspberry Pi / Picoreplayer I have elsewhere in the house). Player 1 tells me it is using something called 'Softsqueeze'. By the way, how do I upgrade the LMS version ? I understood all I had to do was hit the upgrade button on the Vortexbox GUI but that has no effect.
