I have learnt this means there is an update. There is no comment besides 'Help' on LMS bottom left screen. If I restart LMS it will then see display a message next to 'Help' saying 'Restart required for Plug-in'.' So I click restart and suddenly MS appears correctly in active plugins. What is the status of this? Just as an update here, my backup server, which hasn't been used for a couple of weeks showed Material version 1.8.3 as available for update. This server doesn't have the option for automatically downloading plugin updates checked. Screenshot below... Well, this is weird. I currently have 2 plugins in this state (Spotty and Material). They are not shown anywhere in any of the following places: - Default->Settings->Plugins - Material->Server Settings->Plugins - Material->Information However, both skins do prompt me to do a restart. I am running a recent 8.0 on Linux (Buster on Pi). I have no idea why some of us see this behavior and some don't. I've been keeping an eye on what my servers do with updated plugins - and I'm finding it very variable - sometimes plugins for update are shown and sometimes they are not. I'm not sure if this correlates with updates to LMS itself. It looks like as if there -should- be something: That's some not so perfect JS magic happening on that page: the "please resart" message would be shown there at the top. The default skin's JS would pick that up to show a popup instead of a message at the top. I had a "2" where "Plugins have been updated - Restart Required (Material Skin)" should have been a few days back and I made screenshots of the plugin page before and after I pressed the "Restart now" button explicitly to see what would be updated. I think it was the Airplay bridge and Material that got updated, and both plugins were listed as active when I had that "Restart now" button. This has probably been like this for a long time and I just noticed it now, but... Whenever a plugin is in the "updated but pending restart" state, it no longers shows on the Settings->Plugins page on LMS. It's not listed as "inactive", it just goes completely missing until after the restart. Is this intentional? What's the reason for this?
