Thank You guys! Problem solved! I have listen to both of You. I started by installing the Digimaster's distribution. The install proceeded very smooth. Nice. A 100% thanks for that recommendation. I then logged in via SSH and got a positive ping test result. I found that my "problem NAS" had a switch problem. I checked the Virtual switch setting and voilà(!)... I found the actual network interface box was unchecked. Checked it and now all works like a charm again. This morning I was late for work after getting all this to work and finally getting access to Spotify (Spotty). It could be the DNS settings in the NAS network interface configuration. I started getting those errors a while back after moving to 4.3.3 of QTS. It was the final straw so I installed the new build produced by Digitalk and all those errors went away, plus a bunch of other issues and you do not have to run SSOTS either. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] LMS "IP Solve" - problem on QNAP NAS
Hi all, I have been using LMS Nightly Builds (Thanks alot M.Herger!) on my two QNAP TS-853 pro Nas'es. One of them started to act with time outs this weekend .and I got a message saying something like: LMS cannot solve IP to reach www.mysqueezebox and mherger.. Otherwise it is ok and works fine in my LAN. It also sees the sister-NAS, LMS. I tried a clean, new install which ended up working fine except for the IP-solve issue. I wonder if any of you skilled people, can point me out what directory(-ies)/file(s) that has been corrupt. The lucky thing for me is that the sister NAS is working fine, so I can hopefully copy the working codes from it.
