Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problem running LMS 7.7.5 on Windows 10 Pro Anniversary update

2016-12-04 Thread loaky

Glad I found this post! I had the same problem I discussed in 'this'
thread, I disabled kaspersky and it worked fine, don't know why it's
taken offence to it, only the 'default' skin though as I mentioned in
the other thread.

Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problem running LMS 7.7.5 on Windows 10 Pro Anniversary update

2016-11-29 Thread mflaten

I have the exact same problem. LMS web control does not load nor is it
highlighted. I have Windows 10 Pro and Kaspersky Total Security 2017
and Firefox. The Kaspersky tech spent 6 hours trying to determine the
cause and came up empty. Very frustrating. I wonder if there is a
different media server that would work as well as LMS?

2016-10-25 Thread Michael Herger

I have the same problem. My laptop runs win10 with Kaspersky rel 17.
(the latest) I have tried to connect to LMS with no luck. Tried to open
everything in KIS. My LMS is running on a Netgear Duo V2. All other
computers in my house, including iPhones and Pads can connect to LMS.
But not my laptop. There is a green screen saying Logitech server is
loading and it never comes further. I am stuck

Browsers usually have something they call "javascript console" in which
you'd see whether it was choking on some of the scripts. Could you
please check this?

Turning off Kaspersky does not really work, you need to uninstall it

Can't get either to work. And can't work out what it is in Kaspersky
that's stopping it. I've turned off every Kaspersky protection
component one at a time and in combination and LMS still will not load.
Turn protection off altogether and it does load. Most strange.

I don't know about the hiccup on v7.7. I'm trying 7.7.5 because I can't
get v7.9 to work either.

Nup. Kaspersky installed doesn't work. Kaspersky installed but turned
off doesn't work. Kaspersky uninstalled works fine. Kaspersky
installed with every switch allowing access of LMS to the net put to
allow and I'm damned if I can get the thing to work.

I may have found the culprit. For reasons which I won't explain here I
was using an unsecured connection to connect to the net. I think the
Kaspersky component "Unsecured Connection" may have been blocking the
LMS connection to the net. Will do further testing later.

[SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Problem running LMS 7.7.5 on Windows 10 Pro Anniversary update

2016-09-12 Thread JeffNK

Hello. I have installed LMS 7.7.5 on my HTPC. It is running Windows 10
Pro (the latest "Anniversary" update). When I try to open the Web
Control, it just gives me a web page with the words "Loading Logitech
Media Server..." and proceeds no further. I have Kaspersky Internet
Security and have specifically enabled port 9000 and 3483? I installed
LMS 7.9 with the same result.

I installed LMS 7.7.5 on my laptop running Windows 10 Home (the November
update). It runs fine. I have Bit Defender protection on that machine.

Do any forum members have similar experience or perhaps advise me on wht
the issue might be?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and regards,

Jeff
