Re: [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sleep/Power Issues with LMS 7.9.1 on macOS High Sierra
It looks like Code: sudo nvram boot-args="darkwake=0" has worked for me. This *might* be a function of your exact Mac hardware and OS. I am running LMS 7.9.1 on a late 2009 27-inch iMac with macOS 10.13.6 with a wired LAN connection. (Some of my Squeeze players are wireless and they wake the LMS just fine.) The "darkwake" stuff seems to be only lightly documented (or maybe I am a very bad googler) but what the command above seems to do is disable the brief (~30-60 second) "mini-wake" that previously occurred by default on my platform when a network access attempt was detected. YMMV. You only need to issue this command once; the effect survives reboots and power cycles -- as one would expect with an NVRAM parameter setting. If you do ever reset your NVRAM, you probably will need to re-issue the command above. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Sleep/Power Issues with LMS 7.9.1 on macOS High Sierra
My Squeezebox players (one Radio, two Touches, one wired, two on wifi) can wake my iMac running LMS 7.9.1 (1522157629, Fri Mar 30 12:22:47 CEST 2018). However, they cannot KEEP the iMac/LMS awake. My iMac is wired to my router. The iMac goes back to sleep after about 30 seconds and the music stops my players after about 70 seconds. If I re-wake my iMac with a Wake On LAN app on my phone, playing will resume for only another ~70 seconds and my iMac goes back to sleep. If I set my iMac to "never sleep" in Energy Saver, everything works fine...but it burns through a lot of power 24/7. My iMac is running 10.13.6; it is an older iMac so it still has separate "computer" and "display" sleep sliders under Energy Saver. I have adjusted the settings of Prevent System Standby and that does not make any difference. This is really hard to debug so I am looking for any tips that I can get.
