Well it is embarassing. Yesterday I reactivated my linux server, and had the same issue (songs not streaming but instantly jumping to some offset position). Then I thought I should update the SqueezeServer (from 7.9.1) to 7.9.2 without improvement, and then wanted to do the same on the windows server. That made me find out that I got the server from the Logitech webpage where the version is stuck to 7.7.6 which obviously has some issues in the player firmware. Because after detaching power from all my squeezeboxes (3 classics, 2 radio, 1 receiver), thereby activating the auto-updated firmware, they all do work fine again (even with the windows server which is now off again). Ended up doing factory resets and all updates on all 4 squeezeboxes, uninstalled (again) LMS and cleaned registry, etc., reinstalled, updated firewall to allow LMS. 3 out of 4 work now. After this headache, I'm thinking of getting a Raspberry and just hooking my external hard drive up to that. I'm guessing that would make troubleshooting a lot easier in the future. I think the GetPriorityClass error message is not fatal and not your root cause. How are you starting LMS ? as adminstrator ? Since 7.9.1 is working fine for me on Win10 pro I'm wondering if some update to your anti-virus might be blocking LMS?? Unfortunately I have no remedy. But a "me too".. maybe more/different details will help. Been using squeezeboxes since about 15 years, and have gone through some servers. My current Linux-based server is broken, so I am temporarily using my work-computer, which runs Windows 10. 2 days ago I could not get songs to play any more.. they can be queued, and started fine, but they instantly jump to 2:44 where the players (classic) get stuck, while iPeng happily increments position from there. No sound, no errors regarding this in the logs. Happens with local files or with soundcloud, with the same behaviour. This probably is caused by windows 10. Completely uninstalled LMS, deleted temp files, all references to squeezebox or LMS on hard drive and registry. Restarted computer. Reinstalled version 7.7.5...and, same problem. [SlimDevices: SqueezeCenter] Songs Will Not Play
I've been running my music on this for over 10 years. A few days ago, music stopped playing. I can view songs, add them to playlists, etc., but as soon as I go to play, it will jump to the end. If it's a long song, it will jump to 9:39 and show it's playing to 9:44, but there is no sound. I've tried removing Spotty, unsyncing the 4 players, deleting and rescanning the library, cleaning the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling 7.9.1 to no avail. Running Windows 10 with music library on a separate hard drive. Even tried moving some files onto the internal harddrive but they won't play either. I'm out of ideas and don't want to have to scrap Logitech and find another music server option, but I NEED my music. Help!
