Unfortunately a single debian package isn't. Commercial dists can put it
on the CD, but it can't easily be packaged.

For example i set it to no, after seeing that my node is integrated well

Hi,

No reseeding does *not* delete the datastore, it only deletes the
seednodes.ref file (or the file that you've specified in the
freenet.conf). If you haven't ran the freenet for only a week you might
not want to reseed.

Also, you might want to do this in the freenet.conf file (which is in
the directory to which you've installed your freenet) there is a line:
doAnnounce=no
change it to
doAnnounce=yes
make suret hat there is no '%' in the beginnning of the line

Do not worry about the size of the datastore too much (but yours is too
small), i've ran the freenet for more than a year, and it's around 40
gigs now.

Also, (just want to check something), after you do the announce thing,
let your node run for an hour or so, and then go to
http://localhost:/servlet/nodeinfo/networking/ocm
and see if you are getting incomming connections, with your datastore
this small it might be that you are not connected to anybody.

About your question: i think i have incoming connections indeed - both
blue and yellow arrows:

http://localhost:/servlet/nodeinfo/networking/ocm
Connections open (Inbound/Outbound/Limit) 101 (90/11/200)

About doAnnounce=yes: there is a line saying:
%doAnnounce=true this i changed to this:
doAnnounce=true -- but as i understand it this means that it was the
default value and now i am only specifically setting it to true, so no
change after all.. am i right? :o

thank you for clarifying some things.. :D

Also, you might want to do this in the freenet.conf file (which is in
the directory to which you've installed your freenet) there is a line:

doAnnounce=no
change it to
doAnnounce=yes
make suret hat there is no '%' in the beginnning of the line

Do not worry about the size of the datastore too much (but yours is too
small), i've ran the freenet for more than a year, and it's around 40
gigs now.

Also, (just want to check something), after you do the announce thing,
let your node run for an hour or so, and then go to

http://localhost:/servlet/nodeinfo/networking/ocm
and see if you are getting incomming connections, with your datastore
this small it might be that you are not connected to anybody.

How are they different exactly?

Exactly? Well, compare for yourself:

http://hi.zpok.hu/maxigas/freenet-capture-otherfile.png

The first link is the file on freenetproject.org,
the second is the one from Google that i list down there.
(Note: otherfile is approx. 100k larger..)

hi!

The pdf linked under freenetproject.org/papers displays rather crappy
(on

my iBook). I propose to change it to the one available at this URL:

http://www.cs.cornell.edu/People/egs/615/freenet.pdf

AFAIK the two documents (but not the files) are identical.

i found no webmaster contact on the website, that's why i post it here.
