You could also look at screenreader software such as JAWS which are
normally used by visually impaired users.

"Not Authorized" generally means "wrong password". You'll either need to
update your password in pidgin, create an app password, or switch to the
Hangouts plugin which uses oauth.

Hi All,

I was wondering if there is a built in or 3rd party app that will read the
messages I receive. I checked Google Search, Pidgin FAQ/Forum/Support, as
well as the current preferences and plug-ins available.

I'm not always near my computer but I do have Bluetooth headphones
connected.

There is no such thing as a Pidgin account.  You will have an instant 
messaging account with some service provider, and you need to make sure 
that you are providing the right credentials for that account.

You should contact that service provider regarding the credentials.

We will need to know who they are, or see the contents of your debug 
window, even to suggest typical problems associated with that provider.
