Mine Type = application/wmv

I set mine to open with the app of my choice and location.
In my case its: C:\Program Files\MPLAYERC.EXE.

Hopefully your SM is somewhat similar.

That would be nice, but the ability to add or delete helper apps
doesn't exist[*] in SM 2.0.12.

Thanks for that info. IMO, another reason for me
to stick with 1119.

I can verify what Lee said, no add file type in 2.0.11 :(

Maybe the 'about' thing in the browser URL window would allow me to add
file types without playing with Java code. Have to research that.

In SM 2.0.11, how about Edit-Preferences-Browser-Helper Applications.

Does that do whats needed??

Does anyone else have any idea? I was sort of hoping that the situation
would be back to normal today, after having restarted my computer, but
obviously, that isn't the case.

The current situation is, all the drop-down menus in my junk mail
settings show up empty when I access that window. I can change them to
whatever I want. I can click on OK, and the window closes. But the new
settings are never saved. When I go back into the junk mail settings,

Does anyone know the technical size limit?

How big is your disk drive and do you have a 32 bit or a 64 bit computer?

Ok... The way I understand you are only limited by the size of your hard
drive.

In other words when the total of all SM mail and everything else on the
hard drive adds up to the size of the hard drive. you're done.

There isn't any limit caused by SM. ONLY the hard drive size.

Basicly true. Some of SM's data (like emails saved in your SENT folder which is
actually a file as far as the operating system is concerned) are in a single file
(that should be compressed from time to time). The size of that one file is limited
by the format of the disk drive.

FAT32 has a 4GB physical file sime limit, where NTFS doesn't
So if you have a fat32 disk, the limit of the inbox file (with deleted
mails inside(file not compacted)) it's a 4GB for the inbox.

So the limit is not by SM, but by the foramt of the drive or the
available space on the hard disk. If your limit is the hard disk, you
will have other problems too.

Just an idea
Position the preference as never save a copy
