But these patches have nothing to do with the value of lines in the threadpane. In the message you have mentioned the header 'line' is missing, therefore SM cannot use this header. It seems that older SMs use zero instead whereas newer SMs seem to compute the real value. I do not remember when this behavior has changed. I am hoping that i have not made too much mistakes in the many words of this message in the strange English language. *g* Thanks for the clear explanations and the resaon why we have 0 lines shown. Wrong info in new messages pop up in lower right corner.
SM 2.4.1 on Windows 7 Often when I select one of my email accounts (usually the first, which is my principal account) and choose to download all new messages, either via the icon on the toolbar, or via ^D and SM connects and downloads the messages for that account a little pop up box appears in the lower right corner of the screen stating that there are nnn new messages in y. The oddity is that the nnn matches the number of messages downloaded BUT y names a different mail account. E.g. I select my Bellsouth account. I download 15 messages The little message box pops up stating that You have 15 new messages in HEELMAIL Checking the accounts, I find 15 new (tagged) messages in the Bellsouth Inbox, But no new messages in the HEELMAIL Inbox. Re: Download Manager Preferences
Cecil Bankston: On one computer the Download Manager leaves the just-downloaded file at the top of the list, allowing quick access for opening its folder or launching the file. On the other computer, as soon as the download finishes the list is sorted alphanumerically, leaving the new file out of view. What could I set in SeaMonkey on the latter computer to keep the new file at the top of the list? 'Tools-Downloadmanager' and in the new window 'view-sort by' is probably what you want. Copying them and then putting them into a new installation may just transfer the problem. (What IS the problem?) You should be able to reinstall a new SM right over the old one. BUTI would create a new profile first and see if all is Ok there. Mozbackup is a GREAT program. I've been using is for about 8 years! It will back up your profile files instead of you doing it manually. It will then restore the files to the new installation. BUT... You need to explain what you mean by security breach?
