Thanks for the quick reply Philip.
Her husband just phoned and said the mail popped up a message asking if
the mail was wanted to be sent, he answered yes and the mail went.

Now when they Compose a new message, they have the Send button as normal.
Somehow they must have used the Send Later option and it got "Stuck"..?

I don't know myself, as I never use Send Later.

Anyway the problem is solved, till hte next time they screw something up. :-)

Hi All,

A friend's SeaMonkey Mail Send button is missing in Compose window.
It has not been dragged into the Customize section, it is just gone.

I may have to go to her house and see for myself, so far I have been
trying to talk her through some options. And I have been trying on
my own SeaMonkey to remove the Send icon from the Compose window, but
I can't figure out how she may have done this.

If I wanted to watch an event, I could probably find it as a torrent.

You do realize that you can only watch the streaming videos if you are a
subscriber to a 'premium' video package... right?

For example:

is a listing for streams today. If you click a current stream ""Live:
Watch now" you'll get javascripted to

and asked to select a $$ provider.
"You have selected NBC Olympics Live Extra content that requires you to
verify that your TV provider subscription package includes CNBC and
MSNBC. It’s a quick, simple, one-time process. Simply choose your TV
provider and follow the directions along the way. NBC Olympics Live
Extra lets you access 3500+ hours of live streaming of NBC’s coverage of
the 2012 London Olympics and on-demand full-event replays of the
greatest events of the Games. "

So if you're not signed up, it won't matter what browser you use.

Common reasons for a 5.1.1 error are either (a)the email account does
not exist at the organization to which the message was sent, or (b) the
message was sent to an obsolete personal address book entry. Summary: a
(probably) incorrect or obsolete address.

I have occasionally had messages bounce from aol, but the usual reason
is that someone has sent a load of spam using an address from my ISP. We
all get frozen out of aol, but that usually clears up within a day or so.

Hope this might help.

Ask has its share of problems too... their intrusive toolbar foistware
business model, for one. But they have their good points too.

Some other general search engines that might be worth a look:

http://duckduckgo.com/
http://blekko.com/
https://startpage.com/

Blekko and Duckduckgo both have good support for Mozilla browsers. DDG
even has a link (in the unobstrusive lower-right corner) to add it to
your search box, with SSL, no less. Blekko has an (experimental) search
add-on for Firefox that makes so-called "instant search" even more
powerful. Unfortunately, it's Firefox-only so far...

DuckDuckGo has a particularly good privacy policy. Blekko's is more
standard, similar to other major search engines like Ask and yes, Google
and Bing.

Start Page is essentially an anonymizing proxy for Google -- you use
Google for searches, but they don't know who is the user, so they can't
either direct targeted ads or tailor the search results for you,
avoiding the so-called "search bubble".

Re: youtube not working

2012-07-28 Thread Larry
Your experiences are the same as mine. I am running Vista Home Premium.
Everything works in IE. No videos on my SeaMonkey browser (2.11) AOL
home page work (they either do not complete loading or give "an error
occurred try again later" message). I also tried getting an earlier
version of flashplayer and shockwave plug in and came to the conclusion
that the reliable download sites had the most recent versions. My other
machines running Win XP Pro SP2 and Win 7 do not have this problem. I
am resigned to waiting for the problem to be fixed as all the software
goes thru the normal update process. In the meantime, if I need to
watch a video I use IE.

Larry

Dave and Colette Hirsh wrote:

I figure that those that are saying it has something to do with the
flashplayer or shockwave plug in or add on are correct. When I say
youtube is not working I mean youtube is not working. I go to youtube
either through facebook or youtube and when I click on the video it says
an error occurred try again later. If you want an example I googled
youtube seamonkey and clicked on one about the seamonkey browser and it
didn't work meaning it said an error occurred try again later. Now
perhaps you guys know what you are talking about when you say there are
different versions of flashplayer and shockwave and there is one or an
old one that works with seamonkey and if I go to the adobe website I
can find it. Well I went to the adobe website and tried to download an
older version and some of these other websites that claim to allow you
to download older versions, but each time I try it says that there is a
newer version available and it links me to the newer version which
clearly doesn't work. Now I readily admit that if something on the
computer can't be done following the instructions I've been given it may
be my fault for not knowing how to fill in the gaps, or it may be the
instructions have not been idiot proofed. I am that idiot and I've
proven the instructions don't work. So if those who feel that I have
repeated this complaint that youtube is not working, for three weeks
now, there is a good reason for that. It has not been working for three
weeks and the instructions I've been given for getting it to work have
not gotten it to work. Now you can say that it is because I have not
given enough details about what I mean by not working and that is a fair
comment. What I mean is that when I go to youtube any video at all I
get the error that I should try again later. I've tried downloading
various versions of flashplayer and shockwave and they don't correct the
problem for either seamonkey or firefox. However IE is working. If I
diable the shockwave plugin or addon it tells me to check my plug in or
add before trying to run the video, and when I reenable it I get the
error message to try again later.

I don't use that many add-ons.

you can still use with Seamonkey, altough it warns it's incompatible

Curious - I use that one with SM and I don't remember it complaining

I can think of two reasons why it works for me then:
