A release version, or something else?

I thought 2.49 was going to be an ESR, should be a 2.49.2 in that case.

I think I read that was going to be the case as well. I'm on 2.51 beta
myself so was just curious if a final 2.51 was coming.

Some of us are still waiting for a final SM 2.49, let along a 2.49.2 or
2.51!! ;-(

Go to , copy/paste
"network.protocol-handler.external.mailto" (no quotation marks) into the
search window. Double-click the entry that appears to toggle its value
between "true" and "false."

Are you asking about filters on E-mail accounts, newsgroup accounts, or
RSS feeds?

Consider:
* Most state mandate that drivers have liability insurance.
* Employers are mandated to have worker's compensation insurance.
* If you live in a flood zone, flood insurance is mandatory.
* If your home has a mortgage, fire insurance is mandatory.

Why then is mandatory health insurance so bad??

AFAIK filters apply to accounts, not folders, though you can manually
select a folder and apply it. So when mail arrives for that account, it
is processed through whatever filters you have set up, in the order of
priority you have established (by default, newly created filters are
ordered first, but you can reorder them if you so choose).

So in that scenario, if a message has been moved, say, to your Spam
folder, the remaining filters will not apply to it since the message is
no longer available to them.

Does he use CCleaner?

Begin with the Profile Manager. Can he see his existing profile,
which would contain all that? If so, make it the default profile
and relaunch SM.

and what Paul meant to tell you was that you will find the Profile
Manager at Tools->Switch Profiles.

Or in case of a Windows system when SM is not running, under the Start
button at SeaMonkey | Profile Manager.

If you see more than one profile listed, try selecting each Profile
in turn to see if it contains your missing mail account and address
book.
