On several of my UseNet groups, I see posts offering "Solution Manuals" so I have made Filters, with various combinations of capital 'S' and 'M', to 'Mark as Read' and 'Ignore Thread' across ALL of my UseNet groups, but, still, I'm finding these Subjects appearing, not daily but probably more than weekly. I do seem to recall, somewhere in the dark recesses of my grey matter, that some versions of SM 2.49.x were released without Filters functioning ... but this may have just been for the Beta versions or some such. So . Are Filters supposed to be working in SM 2.49.5?? (Note: Version details shown in my Sig file!) Or . Are Filters supposed to be working in SM 2.53.x?? You posted that question approximately 2 hours 15 minutes less that 5 days before your repost. There were two replies. OH!! No!! A message not remaining visible on this server!! Who would of thunk it?? :-P Enabling View-> Threads -> All fails to show any thread begun by me back as far as my "Getting posts out of the Outbox" thread on 1st June ... but thanks for confirming I'm not going stupid ... at least in this case! If I can't 'see' my OP in that thread or the two replies. I wonder what they said!! ;-) Thanks for replying, Don. -- Daniel Win7 User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.5 Build identifier: 20190609032134 Linux User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey/2.49.1 Build identifier: 20171015235623 ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

seamonkey aarch64 and spell checking problems
Dear users and developers, My name is Janusz Chmiel. I live in Brno, Czech Republic. I Am using Android, Termux, Proot and latest stable ArchLinux aarch64 Bit edition on Android 8 device. Because I do not see at all, I Am working with Orca screen reader which send output to The active Espeak speech synthesis engine. I Am running latest stable Seamonkey thanks to kind package builders who have compiled Seamonkey for Aarch64 platform. Seamonkey work perfectly on my ANdroid mobile phone. Like I would use it on standard Linux OS or on Windows. But I have big issue. When I have installed Czech spelling dictionary for Seamonkey from Mozilla official page, it do not show context menu items for choosing language and spell checking menu item is not presented. Whewn I have chosen extensions dialog window, Seamonkey shows that I have The extension installed correctly. There is even no warning on A X11 mate-terminal which would show AN error while loading The extension in to memory. Hunspell is being installed. I can not use dbus-broker because it must call some unsupported function on Android device. But Arch Linux programmers have setup dbus-daemon so it is possible to use it even on strictly userspace based environment. So even Gconf and other Mate desktop environment features are working. I Am pressing SHIFT+F10 hot key to activate context menu on editable field when I compose E-mail message. But there is no context menu item related to dictionary. Do you think, that should I activate hunspell as a background process first? Or how could I determine The problem? Standard Seamonkey compilation setup do not show errors on terminal. There is even no crash even on Seamonkey parts which are using shared memory support such as E-mail client. My painfull problem is, that I do not own ARM64 based professional computer which would allow Me to run full Linux so I can not compile whole Seamonkey myself. Some compilation procedures assumes that user is being used normal Linux with Dbus connection available. Which can not be done on Android which is not rooted. So I can not recompile Seamonkey. Very strange problem, because other Seamonkey parts are working like A charm including Html editor and IRC relay chat client or WEB browser including Javascript interpreter and other parts. Thank you very much for yours help. With warmest regards. Janusz Chmiel ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
Re: Has SM 2.52 Done Something To Windows Explorer Or Is The Problem Elsewhere?
Edmund Wong wrote: Henrik37 wrote: Since about the time I installed SM2.52 on my wife's PC, the Windows Explorer no longer behaves as it used to. As far as I know, SeaMonkey doesn't fiddle with Windows Explorer or any of its settings. Could the problem be caused by a recent installation of Edge or something else? Selecting Windows Update takes one to something new called 'Libraries' and does not allow a user to thoroughly search through folders and files. That's strange indeed. I'm quite surprised that clicking on Windows Updates would bring you to the Libraries folder. Never seen it and I have a few test systems and VMs. 99.% not SeaMonkey relelated. Probably something did go worong with a Windows update or somehow developed a problem. There is only one message from Ant where he replied to the post of 2.53.2 release. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
