Since it was mentioned, the reason I have not upgraded to 2.53.4, is
that some extensions do not work there. I am hoping that soon

Which extensions?
There are a lot of extensions that have been created in the WEBEXT
format which are not compatible with SM current version.

I have Yahoo, ATT via Yahoo, and Gmail POP3 accounts and have never seen

Doesn't this solution for Thunderbird help

Scripts

2020-10-11 Thread Louis Toscano

SeaMonkey Support List

Today a box came up where the program was running a script.  A SeaMonkey
browser window was not even open.  I have the Email program setup where,
below the list of email messages in my inbox, the highlighted one
appears partially in a box below with a grey area in between with the
contact addresses.  After hitting "Stop Script," the script kept running
to where I could not read the message already highlighted or highlight a
new one.  I could not even switch folders.  This is version 2.53.3 on
this Windows 7. Probably my Catalina has that version too.  I would not
know how to update the program on that one.  Why is it all of a sudden
running scripts?  During the last two weeks I have had to shut down the
program, and the computer over these freezes.  I would clean out my
temporary files and restart the computer, in time to only have to do
this again.  On Catalina it does not behave this way.

The 2 checkboxes don't display in SM. In Pale moon e.g. they display
and I can use the form .

I do not see any checkboxes on that page with any browser.  I see
only text boxes in a form.

In my Win7 SM install, if I scroll down the page, I see check-boxes
for "Quiero que mis datos sean procesados con fines comerciales o
publicitarios" and "He leido y acepto la Política de Privacidad" and a
button labelled "ENVAIR".

Not reading/understanding the language, I didn't check either box or
press the button so don't know if they actually achieve anything.
The 2 sentences say the typical "I do authorize the use of my data for
commercial and advertisements" and "I have read and accept privacy policy".

And both have a checkbox . I attach a screenshot wit Pale Moon

Hi,

I use a fairly recent Win10 Dell laptop with i7 processor and 24GB of RAM. I
recently upgraded it from 8GB to 24GB RAM hoping that it will make Seamonkey
run better but with no luck. Even with such spec Seamonkey is sluggish and
freezes at some sites.

Since it was mentioned, the reason I have not upgraded to 2.53.4, is that some
extensions do not work there. I am hoping that soon Seamonkey will be
compatible with all Firefox extensions. Until then it will be a struggle for
all Seamonkey fans.

Regards
