What used to be easily accessible via keyboard is now useless without a mouse. They did A Bad Thing here. Use the down arrow key in the text boxes inside the web forms, works as well and doesn't need a mouse. So how can I delete the many misspellings and the extraneous words that pop up now, short of going back to an earlier version of SM?. Highlight the entry and press the Del key on your keyboard. Typing in the URL location bar also now gives all kinds of excess crap that I never expected (or want) to see. How can I stop it from making suggestions based on page titles or query strings? Just stick with the domain names, please! Most people find it helpful that we have a learning algorithm there and search in more information than just the start of the URL, but it might need some getting used to before they feel it's more powerful than the old solution. Still, there are a number of preferences in the Browser > Location Bar panel of the preferences window that should help you getting something very near to the old behavior, if wanted. Believe me, I understand the need to keep the SeaMonkey code base current, but the more it starts to behave like Firefox, the less I like it. :-( > regards > > Martin > -- > () ascii ribbon campaign - against html e-mail > /\ www.asciiribbon.org - http://www.gerstbach.at/2004/ascii ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey

Auto fill in SM 2.0
I'm not sure auto fill is the proper term. In prior versions of SM when I had to enter a username and password, it offered the option of saving them (except on some financial sites where that authors had apparently blocked it). When I next went to the site, the information was automatically entered, if I had authorized saving it. In SM 2, the information is not automatically entered until I put in the first letter of the user name, a minor hassle when one has multiple usernames, and not, in my opinion, an improvement. My real complaint, however, is that SM now is memorizing what I put into other fields, and I cannot find a way to control this. My aged fingers often make mistakes, and I now have about five versions of my address, one of which is spelled right, and anything else I have ever entered that has the first letter of my address: my user name, once I guess the right first letter, is an embarrassing litany of every misspelling I have made, and this apparently will keep growing like a cancer. So how can I delete the many misspellings and the extraneous words that pop up now, short of going back to an earlier version of SM?. ___ support-seamonkey mailing list support-seamonkey@lists.mozilla.org https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
