What's wrong with it? The first version of most software in use
today is even older. SeaMonkey prior 2.0 was unable to use that
extension because it uses newer Mozilla platform features. The
latest version of keyconfig I see is from 29th of September 2008:

http://mozilla.dorando.at/readme.html

Have you tried it?

Oh I didn't see those updates. Good. I was worried that it wasn't updated.

Edit the source code and recompile it.
(Isn't Open Source Software great?)

I am a not type of guy who knows how or want to do it. I am surprised
there are no extensions or configuration to change/disable hotkeys. :(

I know there's a keyconfig extension:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension

I have never tried it myself, though.

Hello!

I am a keyboard guy and sometimes accidently press ctrl-q (meant to
press w; doesn't even prompt to exit for sure or not when I have
multiple tab sessions and windows opened) and ctrl-e (meant to press w
or r) by accident. Is there a way to change/disable these keys?

Thank you in advance. :)
