so it is. My test results:
With 2.49 on WIN I only see something similar to the selection menu
which should open clicking on the menu- "boards stack". No pictures at all.

I have seen many bad effects which persisted in safe mode, but vanished
with newly created User Profile.

Failed logins are usually due to cookie issues. Have you double-checked your permissions? Seems to use dynamic import which only was implemented recently in Fx 67: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1342012 But seems to load ok in 2.53.1.
