[Sursound] ambiX v0.1 Ambisonic software, mcfx v0.1
hi! i finally got my ambisonic plug-ins to a stage where i'd like to share them with the community. these are working under windows, osx and linux as vst, lv2 and standalone applications. (the linux version still needs some treat - help wanted!) get the source code (GPL), OSX/WIN binaries and more info here: http://www.matthiaskronlachner.com/?p=2015 the package comes with encoders, binaural decoder (incl. impulse responses of nice real-world venues), vmic and various tools for transformations (xyz-rotation, mirroring, directional loudness, warping). one of the most important things may also be the converter which allows to convert between the variation of ambisonic standards used in other software and recordings. (although you have to know what you are doing) all my plugins use the full set of 3D Ambisonics, ACN channel order and SN3D normalization as described in [1] the Ambisonic order is a compile time flag and i uploaded binaries for 1st, 3rd and 5th order. the spherical harmonics are implemented recursively therefore the limit is your CPU power and numerical stability. currently there is no proper documentation but some aspects may be found in [2] these plugins work very well together with the mcfx v0.1 – multichannel audio plug-in suite: http://www.matthiaskronlachner.com/?p=1910 the software has been well tested and already used in several different venues and occasions. for more information please have a look at my homepage or the README files in the source repository. (including a list of people/institutions i have to thanks for support in one or another way!) feedback welcome! i am also looking for people to help me in further development - especially fixing bugs and crashes under linux! Hi, sounds great! Any plans to also make an AU version of the plugins for OSX? [Sursound] Ambisonia.com no work
Hi, When I try to access Ambisonia.com, I get a 502 Proxy Error: The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server. The proxy server could not handle the request GET /. Other times I get nothing. Is this just me, or are other seeing the same? The reset button, for now, should only works for when the sensors are off and the head/mics are being moved manually. Which means that yes, for now we will face north :-) i see. i was expecting it to reset the listening position when the sensors are activated. In an upcoming update I'll make the reset button work with the sensors to reset the soundfield front to be in the same direction as the device when pressed. great, i'll be watching it for updates. thanks for providing this tool! best, jörn btw: i can't seem to find the sources to those tools. i guess at least for tetrafile you are legally required to provide them, and i'd appreciate the sources for ambiexplorer as well. that said, i'd still be willing to support your efforts by paying the very moderate fee for the ready-to-run app! -- Jörn Nettingsmeier Lortzingstr. 11, 45128 Essen, Tel. +49 177 7937487 Meister für Veranstaltungstechnik (Bühne/Studio) Tonmeister VDT http://stackingdwarves.net ___ Sursound mailing list Sursound@music.vt.edu https://mail.music.vt.edu/mailman/listinfo/sursound
