[swinog] PA-GE on 7200VXR platform
Hi all, Does anybody use PA-GE cards on VXR platform ? (not the NPE-G1 inf, a real PA-GE) I saw in a Cisco doc they are limited up to 400Mbps... is that true ? Thanks, Jerome ___ swinog mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.init7.net/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/swinog
RE: [swinog] PA-GE on 7200VXR platform
The bandwidth points of the PA-GE is 400 so you can use it on a NPE300 (600 pts/bus max) without problem, also in slot 1 or 3 if the I/O card have only 1 FE (200 pts). It's not a problem of bandwidth points. But, cisco doc say with any NPE (from NPE-300 and after, including the G1) the PA-GE card is limited to 400Mbps throughput ; http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2033/products_data_sheet09186a0080091ce7.html See table#3. I would like to know if any of you already tested a PA-GE with higher throughput ? Thx :) Jerome -Message d'origine- De : [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] la part de Marcel Stutz Envoyé : mercredi, 20. octobre 2004 17:35 À : [EMAIL PROTECTED] Objet : AW: [swinog] PA-GE on 7200VXR platform Hi Jermoe, Yes you have a summary of Points and the PA-GE Points are higher then each NPE Processor Module/PCI Bus can be support except the NPE-G1. Thats why the PA-GE is limited to 400Mbps As Info Slot 0 / 1 / 3 and 5 are on the SAME PCI Bus and 2 / 4 and 6 on the other From the Preformance view it's better to out the PA-GE on 2 4 or 6 without any Other Module. With a NPE-GE1 you can use each PCI Bus/Slot with the Full Speed on the VXR Chassie. You mean per distinct 'From:' line, not per address (because for some reason I have _two_ autoresponses in my mailbox with two different message IDs). If I randomize the From-Line (Blah [EMAIL PROTECTED], Foo [EMAIL PROTECTED]) then I can still use it as a mailbomber, can't I? About the Precedence: bulk in the header, anybody have a RFC reference ? Not a RFC reference, but you might find this useful: http://untroubled.org/qmail-autoresponder/procedure.txt procmail has also a nice macro for this called ^FROM_DAEMON, which expands to: If the regular expression contains `^FROM_DAEMON' it will be substitut- ed by `(^(Mailing-List:|Precedence:.*(junk|bulk|list)|To: Multiple recipients of |(((Resent-)?(From|Sender)|X-Envelope-From):|?From )([^]*[^([EMAIL PROTECTED])?(Post(ma?(st(e?r)?|n)|office)|(send)?Mail(er)? |daemon|m(mdf|ajordomo)|n?uucp|LIST(SERV|proc)|NETSERV|o(wner|ps) |r(e(quest|sponse)|oot)|b(ounce|bs\.smtp)|echo|mirror|s(erv(ices?|er) |mtp(error)?|ystem)|A(dmin(istrator)?|MMGR|utoanswer))(([^).!:a- z0-9][-_a-z0-9]*)?[%@\t ][^)]*(\(.*\).*)?)?$([^]|$)))', which should catch mails coming from most daemons (how's that for a regular expression :-). from procmail(5); procmailex(5) has an example on how to write a autoresponder.
