I've attended some post pandemic downsized conferences at small hotels. They provide meeting rooms free with a group booking. Preferential rated and competitive catering for some meals. I remember our initial NASWA Philly-area chapter meeting was in the North Penn High School cafeteria, where I first met Bob Brown, Bill Oliver, Bob Montgomery, and others from the Philly area.Hams on the list might be able to suggest some venues as well. I stopped to see her on the way home from the fest and gave her this years fest shirt and she got to see this years pictures. Unfortunately the lock down occurred a week later and that was the last time I was able to see her until she wound up in hospice. That means preparing about a half-hour presentation that leaves plenty of time for audience questions and interaction. It can be anything from a serious (or comic) lecture (or both) to a multimedia extravaganza.Your choice!And as a gesture of appreciation (and perhaps some measure of small compensation for your efforts), the Fest will comp your registration fee if your proposal is accepted by the Organizing Committee (which consists of Rich Cuff, yours truly and Geoff Peterson, the now sadly outof work sidekick to Craig Ferguson on CBS’s Late Late Show.
