Hi,

When you're in the combo box, just press the down arrow to goto the cc or down
arrow twice to switch to bcc.

Thanks,

Hi,
Do the following:
From the 'To' field, press shift tab and you will reach the combo box.

Press the down arrow until you reach the "cc" field and press tab.

Type in the start of the email addressand press the down arrow to check
if this is the address you want. If so, press the enter key and do the
same for the next address.

When done, hit the tab until you reach the subject line or the message body.

This also works for the BCC field.

Re: WE hot key

2016-12-13 Thread Lloyd Rasmussen via Talk
There is a command to turn speech off and to turn it back on again, while
leaving Window-Eyes running. It is not defined by default; if you need it
you would go through the menus and assign it and save this as a global
setting.
From anywhere, whether or not you use a special app, you can close
Window-Eyes down with ctrl-Insert-F4. You can start it up again with
ctrl-alt-W.

Perhaps I should know this, but I don't. Is there a hot key to toggle

of course, about Control Backslash, but after pressing those keys, you
have to find the Exit command. So is there such a thing as an on/off toggle?
Thank you.

RE: question about paring WE with HIMS and paragraph symbols

2016-12-13 Thread Vaughan Dodd via Talk
Grant: are you using the braille settings specifically for Word, or are you
expecting this behaviour to be global? It might just need to be the toggle
within settings/braille/attribute markings which will fix this.

HIMS is correct in that attribute markings and the like are specific to screen
readers.

However: there are some long standing mistakes with the hard coding of braille
hot keys which AI Squared seems unwilling to fix. Raised the issue about five
years ago when I got my first Braille Edge.

In general: I find the Edge's USB connection to Windows very solid, but aspects
of the Window-Eyes interface need to be improved.

Subject: question about paring WE with HIMS and paragraph symbols

Hi Listers,
I use the Braille Edge 40 as my braille display with my win7 32 bit pc and
WindowEyes 9.5.3.
In the word processors for HIMS I can display the symbol for a new paragraph
which is dots 1246 and dots 1234.
When I am reading or writing in NotePad on my pc, I have not been able to get
the paragraph symbol to show up. Has anyone on the list discovered how to do
this using WindowEyes?
I called HIMS and they said that it is strictly up to the specifics of which
pc, screen reader and operating system.
If you have been able to get a HIMS braille display to work with WindowEyes and
particularly to get the “new paragraph” symbol to show up, I would appreciate
knowing how it is done.

Thanks much!

default.set

2016-12-13 Thread brice Mijares via Talk
Windows Ten, Latest Window Eyes. On the desktop, you have a folder
called owner and if you open it the set file is default.set. Is this the
correct set file? The reason I ask, is allot of wineyes commands don't
work as they did in previous versions of windows. For instance control S
only reads the current file, second pressing don't spell it out. Control
insert number pad 5 don't work as it use to either. Can't get mouse
Pointer to read a line by character. If I have any memory left,
shouldn't this set file be explore.set? If the wrong set file needs to
be changed, would someone state the correct file and the step needed to
associate it. One more item I just thought of, selection of files is
unclear as nothing is spoken when control space bar is tapped. And
many times I don't hear copied, cut, to the clipboard. Thanks

Hello.

I have run into this problem before, but it usually goes away with restarting
Window-Eyes or in extreme cases, restarting the computer. I have a friend that
can't get Window-Eyes to read her edit box when she presses the F2 key. We
restarted her PC (Windows 7) and I had her select an icon on the desktop. By
pressing the home key and arrowing through, the speech was normal, reading each
character. We went to the folder she wanted to rename files in and did the
same procedure, but there was no speech as long as the F2 key was pressed. I
went through her Window-Eyes settings and could not find anything that would
make the speech silent on the edit box. Am I missing something? Thanks for
your suggestions.

Carol

Subject: Paypal Problems

Hi: I am trying to setup a Paypal account.
I enter a e-mail and password but get unusual results.
It said some of the info was incorrect.
I click to get help, enter my e-mail but it says the e-mail format is
incorrect but it is not incorrect.
Has anyone used Paypal with WindowEyes, I also am using InternetExplorer 11.
