Toggling Speech In Window-Eyes

2020-03-28 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk
Is there a way to accomplish this task with a hotkey without entering
Window-Eyes control panel?

Re: Mute/Unmute Synthesizer

2017-05-10 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk
I either did not come to your instructions yet or missed that message
so please direct me again just in case, thank you.

Original message:

Hi:

George wants to completely silence speech. There is an undefined WE
hotkey for this, which I directed him to (pardon the dangling participle).

Also, the way WE seems to work on my system, it intercepts keystrokes
before the Intel display driver. There were older versions of WE that
didn’t intercept keystrokes first, but, they fixed this a while back.
However, there have been times when something didn’t work correctly, so
disabling these hotkeys in the Intel graphics options can still be a
good idea. After all, how many of us blinks need or want to flip the
screen. Good to disconcert a few sightlings, perhaps.

sure there is. use the w e hot keys.

this would depend on if you are useing a desktop or laptop keyboard layout.

but the first thing to check is see if you have a intel display card from the

windows control panel because w e and the intel use the same keys to flip the

screen in landscape or portrit mode.

you have to turn the hot keys off in control panel/display.

then you can use the w e hot keys

i have a desktop and the keys are control alt and the 4 pack keys up,down, left

and right keys.

with these you can turn the w e volume up or down.

rate, tone, etc. nothing will be changed unless you save your settings. so

don't worry if you get the voice settings messed up.

Re: Mute/Unmute Synthesizer

2017-05-10 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk
Now you missunderstood me since I asked earlier about redirecting
speech output, I really want to toggle mute the synthesizer, thanks.

Original message:

I don't think so Georges, assuming you want to be using your speakers
for something else while you're listening to your speech on headphones.
If you don't want to be able to route something through the speakers,
while you're listening to your speech through headphones, then inserting
your headphone jack will probably mute the speakers anyway.

Choosing From Where Speech Comes

2017-05-10 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk
Is there a way in Window-Eyes to redirect speech to come through the
headphone jack instead from the pc-speaker like in NVDA and JAWS? If
yes how to do it?

Cannot Download Nor Generate Update File

2015-08-22 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk

Window-Eyes 9.1.0.0
Serial Number:
P031375737
Everlock Protected
User Name: Georges Zeinoun
Company Name: Home

I originally bought this in 2007 when it was Version 5.0 while I was
visiting Sight Village in Birmingham England and I live in Sweden
permanently. At that time there was no dealer in the country of residence.

Now that there is, and having not upgraded since then, I asked him for
upgrade and he said this is a 5-step process and I said ok and paid him
after he gave me direct link from where to upgrade of course after
downloading the file tied to my serial.

Just after installation and after registering I was promised to be
contacted by somebody from AI Squared in 48-hours but nobody did.

Just after this upgrade to 9.1 which was in effect came 9.2.0 and I
wanted to update but I get always an error message that says almost the
subject line of this mail and claims maybe I am behind some firewall
and if the problem persists I should try in some minutes or contact AI
Squared, help.

3 Window-Eyes Questions.

2015-07-09 Thread Georges Zeinoun via Talk

Hi!

1) How can we toggle speech on/off?

2) In Jaws Supernova I can read with the braille display freely and
independently from the speech line by line and on the desktop,
everywhere yet I can perform clicks on what I want using the cursor
routing buttons. How can I make Window-Eyes behave in this manner
using the braille display navigation buttons? I don't mean I want to
toggle speech off when wanting to read in braille, I want WE to let me
navigate around in braille whereever I want when I want independently.

3) How can I make WE report automatically formatting like bold,
italics etc when I read/write? I want a toggle for this at least when
I read so that I turn off them being reported when wanted and hear them
when proof reading yet I always want them to be reported when typing so
it says bold on/bold off when I begin or end the function?

Thanks.
