Hi Dennis: Here's how I fixed the Group By stuff: 1. Hit alt+v in the folder view to get to the view ribbon. 2. Tab to the View Settings button and press space bar. 3. Tab once to the 'Group by' button and press space bar. 4. You'll land on the 'Group by' checkbox, hit space bar to uncheck it. 5. Tab to the OK button and press enter or space bar. 6. Tab to the OK button and press enter or space bar. I'm not sure how to disable the search thing. RE: outlook 2013 help needed
The easiest way to create a rule is to find a message in your inbox like you want to go into a new folder. Then hit the application key to open the context menu. Near the bottom is an option for rules and if you right arrow to open that option, Outlook will suggest a few rule definitions for you about moving messages like it to a new folder. If one of those meets your needs, hit enter on it and you'll be given a dialog listing existing folders you can move the message to in this rule. If you need to add a new folder, hit shift tab and you'll be on a New button where you can add new folder name then go back to that folder list and tell outlook where you want the folder to be. Select your account name if you want the folder on the same hierarchical level and your inbox, which is what you probably want. If the suggested rule options don't meet your need, you can go down and select the Create a rule option, which opens a dialog box for your to design your own. You might use this is you know the subject line will contain a certain string of text or you want the rule to grab any message containing a certain set of text. -Original Message- From: Talk [mailto:talk-bounces+robin_van_lant=key@lists.window-eyes.com] On Behalf Of Dennis Long via Talk Sent: Tuesday, June 16, 2015 8:42 AM To: Ray Campbell; 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Subject: Re: outlook 2013 help needed Thanks that was helpful.
