Linette, I would recommend installing NVDA and taking the time to learn at least the basics. I know how to do next to nothing with it. But I do know how to get around enough to use it when I need it, which is very rare. However, for reasons I won't bore you with, I had to use it over this past weekend, which was the first time I ever used it for more than a few minutes. There are free speech synthesizer addons for nvda as well as paid addons.
